Maithili's POV

I started working immediate next day of that conference. Now its been 15 days. Priya too got job in JK entertainment and introduced Rudhi's portfolio ad they were very much happy with her experience and asked for modelling for kids wear company. Rudra too was doing well , he said that some automobile company bought his design project. In short I was happy. In hospital everything was going smoothly as I wanted except Arjun. 

He would suddenly come to my cabin as to talk to me but would say nothing other than staring then I will piss off and ask him to go out. I don't know what got into him. He always used to hate me, didn't like me to stand in front of him, but now he would come to me by himself with some dumb excuses. My subordinates were also doubting that something is going on between me and Arjun, which I hate to hear the most.

Aarav was being really good to me, helping me and somewhat trying to impress me. but now stopped that .

Flashback

5 days ago

It was 10 pm, I was leaving for home after the surgery. When I reached my car, I saw Aarav waiting there leaning on my car. I smiled and asked him what he is doing there.

Aarav: "Dr. Maithili, I wanted to ask you something"

Maithili: "Is that important Dr. Aarav, because its really late and want to reach home"

Aarav: "Yaa actually no, its ok  we can talk it tomorrow"

Maithili: "No , lets speak it now, let me just text them. "

Aarav: frowned* "Who are they ? I mean you always say that , sorry am I asking much?"

Maithili: "Ohh , I will say that later" and I messaged Priya about being late and not to wait for dinner. 

Maithili: "Yaa ok, actually I am hungry, lets eat something , is that ok with you?"

Aarav: "Ya perfect, I know a nice restaurant near hear, lets go there. "

Maithili: "You are coming in my car, right?"

Aarav: "Yaa, I came with bhai today, so didn't brought my car"

We reached the restaurant, it was not expensive one but was nice, silent and cozy like I love. Aarav took me to the corner table, we ordered some food and within 15-20 minutes our food was served. And till that we spoke about surgeries and his experiences with kids and patients. He is cute and such a darling and cheerful. As we started eating I asked him , what he wanted to ask

Aarav: "Dr. Maithili, you are my dream girl" like what ..... I was shocked and chocked with the veg biryani which was in my mouth. He pour some water for me and drank it. 

Aarav: "Sorry, I liked you even before seeing you, when Min used to talk about you I made a rough sketch about you in my mind and you are exactly like that, but when I saw you , you were the Maithili whom I used to call bhabhi once, but then you said you have moved on . So I want to ask you Dr. Maithili will you go out with me?"

I just stayed there rooted and frozen . I thought for sometime and then finally said

Maithili: "Aarav I am a single mother of twins and I don't want man in life for now and if any day I will think about it, then too I won't take any chance with you because you are his brother. I don't mean you are bad or something, but if I will be with you I have to see him too. so it will be very hard for me. Can you understand me? "

Aarav was in utter shock by now. "You are a mother? I mean how? How old are they? But why are you single mother? Where is your husband or their father? He can't be bhai or is he? " was questioning me one go.

"They are 10 . I was divorced when they where unborn and father is your brother." I answered him in monotone. That shook him more. He loved his brother and I was sure no one knew about me being pregnant.  "Bhai knew it? I mean while divorcing you, did he knew that? " he asked with stammering tone. I don't want to come in between their brother's love so I just changed the topic "I don't like or comfortable with this topics so I just want you to understand that I can't accept your proposal , You are a great guy ,its just I am not a girl for you."

"Okk. Can I meet them? I want to see them." He said smiling sadly. "I will allow you to meet them when time is good, but with one condition, I don't want this matter to get into others ear" I said him. Then we completed out food and left.

At evening I came to the cabin all exhausted after 2 back to back emergency operations, and laid on the small couch and dozed off. I don't know for how many minutes I was out in my lala land but I woke up when I felt someone's warm fingers caressing my cheeks. I was startled with touch. And when I saw the face I screamed out with squeal . "Shhhhh , its me." Arjun said keeping his hand on my mouth.

"That's the reason I screamed Mr. Arjun. Why are you hear without my permission. You should knock before entering , that's the basic manner." I said gritting my teeth. 

"I knocked for more than minutes but you didn't open so I just opened to make sure you are not there, but you are here."

"Ohhh . then sorry Why are you here?" woahhh now I am embarrassed. 

Arjun: "Coffee?"

Maithili: "no thanks, I don't take caffeine, Mr. Arjun can you stop doing this?"

Arjun: "What did I do?"

Maithili: "THISss . You are leading people to see this. You daily come to my cabin for nothing. You making people think there is something between us, which is nothing." 

I could see some hurt feel in his eyes, which I don't know why, and I really don't care. 

Arjun: "Ok I want to talk to you about one patient" I passed from him and sat on my chair an gestured him to sit on the front chair 

Arjun: "She is 5 years old. suffering from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy"

Maithili: "I want have to see the file, if everything is ok , I will see to it"

Arjun: "No. You have to save her, You should save her" he ordered me like roaring which made me flinch. I am really afraid of his high tone.

Maithili: "Who is she?"

Arjun: "She is my angel. My daughter" he said with moist in his eyes
