Maithili: "OK Mr. Arjun, Admit her here, I will schedule her surgery once I study her case" she said this calmly like it doesn't concerns her.
Arjun: "You will operate her?"
Maithili: "Yes, I will do my best, I have to run some tests on her to see how she reacts to the medicines and some other procedures "
Arjun: "I.. I will admit her today itself"
It was unexpected, I didn't expect her saying yes. I mean why she will save my daughter, when I was the one who killed her child. Why is she like this? Why she always does something which I never think she will do? I left from there and immediately took Prerna to hospital and fill the forms and did with all formalities. Prerna was took to the VIP room and I was in front desk, when I reached the room. I saw Maithili was talking to Prerna with her sweet smile.
Maithili: "So dear, are yo comfortable here?" for which she just nodded. Prerna was really uncomfortable and was afraid of the machine and everything which was surrounded near her.
Maithili: "Are you afraid dear? Its ok dear I won't attach this monster machines to you today. Ok?" She herself was speaking like child and then she caressed her head and patted her cheeks.
Prerna: "Are you my mom? " I was shocked by her sudden question and the same expression was there on Maithili's face. But then she again smiled to her
Maithili: "No baby, I a not . I am you Doctor. you can call me Doctor aunty, ok?"
Prerna: "But nanny said that one who will caress my head will look at me and care for me is my mom, and i don't have mom and you did it, you love me na? You will take care of me na? then you are my mom na?"
Why my angel is so cute , after hearing her I felt sad somewhere. I knocked on the door, and entered. Maithili stood from the seat and started to look at the reports and then asked to too meet her in cabin. I tucked in my angel and told her that I will be here in sometime. When I reached in her room , she was immersed in her monitor then glanced at me after hearing my knock then she signed me to to come in . Again she was concentrating in her monitor while drinking something from her ceramic mug, it was unique.
Then she turned to me, while I was watching her mug.
Maithili: "Oh , its calcium supplement, want some?"
Arjun: "Oh no, its ok. I was looking at the mug, its customized I think."
Maithili: "Ohh thanks, yes it was made by kids. I have one more, its there look." She pointed near her corner table, One which she was drinking in was pinkish colour and the other one on the table was off white colour

Arjun: "They are adorable. "
Maithili: "Ok, lets talk about Prerna" She changed her expression.
Arjun: "Yaa, she will be fine right?"
Maithili: "Mr. Arjun, I will do my best , but I will make an alert now only, there is only 15% success, it will be very hard for her"
Arjun: "But her previous doc told me she will be ok if you do the surgery, and he also said that there is 20% chances, then why are you saying that its 15 only now"
Maithili: "Because Mr. Arjun , her immune system is really weak, she was not breastfed which can led her to be very week , I am going to start with medication which she will not react positively because of her low immune. I am going to talk to her paediatrician Dr. Aarav about things. "
She spoke like a professional and I was just nodding my head.
It has been 1 month, Prerna is really weak right now. I was really depressed now, Maithili was very concerned for her and was doing too much for her, Aarav was always with Maithili and was helping her.
Now I am in Maithili's cabin, she told me to sit here and she went out as she got a call, she was so excited when she saw the called id on her call, I tried to peep but didn't get to see. She entered after the call, she was smiling but then changed her expression after looking at me.
Maithili: "Mr. Arjun, I am done with Prerna's medication, and she is ready for surgery "
Arjun: "When will be that? She will be fine right?"
Maithili: "Mr. Arjun, I will do my best, you should not loose your hopes"
Arjun: "Maithili, can I ask you something?" she looked at me intensely then nodded
Arjun: "Why are you doing this for me? After what I have done to you"
Maithili: "Who said I am doing this for you ? Its for Prerna. She reminds me of someone"
Arjun: "Whom ? "
Maithili: "That's not the concern Mr. Arjun. I will do my best for her"
Then I left from there and went to my office my PA asked for some documents verification. when I was done, I went straight to Prerna's room. There I saw Maithili was stroking her cheeks and humming to make her sleep. I slowly walked to them not making much noise.
Arjun: "Isn't she cute?"
Maithili: "No" she said that curtly for a second I was startled.
