" you know, " your voice rung into the atmosphere, starting off with a tone that mentally told the golden guard you were testing the waters, " one day, the portal will be open for me to go. i still have many plans and dreams for my life in the human world. i know i'm going back, and you know too. "

his back leaned on the tree, eyes viewing you sitting on a tree stump with the tone of sureness creaking into his perked ears. your irises that laid onto the sky flickered down onto his tilted head, then into the deep red of his eyes that hinted in patience for your tone.

" if i were to know the portal was open, and there was one last day for me to be prepared—to be prepared to face my parent[s]; to be prepared for it all—what would you do on that day, hunter? "

his eyes tenderly shut, while his breath levitated into the air during the process of standing up. his irises bored into yours, though to you; his bore seemed to become stronger as he took slow steps to you. due to the overwhelming, confusing feelings from his red eyes with that familiar undertones of pink, you couldn't help but to stand up—especially from the feeling of warmth twirling around your body as his body was close onto yours.

your emotions that weighted heavily; the creeping feeling of suffocation underneath the stars that glowed within the crescent's gaze; those two elements took your attention away from his small swallow that was expressed from the feeling of resignation along with self-doubt swarming inside of him, trapping his lungs for faint air to slowly escape through his nose, then through his lips that he parted slightly.

to him, his eyelids somehow felt more heavier; but maybe it was because of your silky voice flowing out his name softly that tauntingly drowned him into ethereality.

" i'll show you, " his shivery voice slipped out, as his whisper fainted into the crisp wind.

his hand made its way onto your arm that twitched suddenly, and continued to tense as the material of his glove slid upwards. his fingers circled your shoulder, then the feeling of his finger's trace looping to go upwards was present until he guided his hand towards your cheek.

the caress from his thumb comforted you, yet the raging poundings from your heart became prominent as you felt his thumb tug your bottom lip. the shivery breath that glided through your slight-parted lips pressed against his face, before his lips finally laid on yours.

the feeling of his smoothing lips only motivated to let your body fall onto him, roughly leaning in more for his presence to overwhelm you. he gladly accepted your hands to clasp his chest, yearning to continue floating into the clouds leading to a dream land, yet urging to stay grounded. you barely even noticed your eyelids being closed—yet now they felt droopy and almost as heavy like the atmosphere clutching onto your body.

abruptly, his lips disconnected along with your eyelids lifting up, meeting his eyelids that took a quarter of his striking irises away from your view. your skin took in the rough grip of his hand that trembled, noting yourself you knew he wanted more. maybe he needed more. or maybe, both of you needed more.

it was only soon when you felt his lips on the edge of laying against yours; with his soft lips positioning into a smirk before his hand that was once on your cheek desperately gripped onto your neck and the action of him impelling his smirk with his tongue briefly brushing against your bottom lip being done synchronously.

and soon enough; his leaning body only left your body to fall; for your bottom to slam onto the tree stump. your lungs clasped onto your breaths that quickly dug into your chest, while your legs spread, leaving room for his body to comfortably somewhat almost completely hover over yours. your breaths escaped, shifting into small, soft moans once it hit the air.

maybe your soft moans hinted some expression of pain because of his fingers tugging onto the back of your neck—or maybe the way your head desperately was lifted upwards for his kiss to dig deeper into your presence—possibly because of the tree stump's cracks thrusting against your palms that clutch onto it. either way, the pain only slipped away his other hand slyly laid on your thigh.

the way his fingers just sometimes gripped more onto your thigh just sent your hands to rapidly throw onto his hair; grasping his hair strands as the rushing feeling of fervency took over your body.

suddenly, he pulled away; the air brushed onto your lips. an exhalation came through your lips, before your words flowed out. direct. simple ;

" is that what you'd do? " maybe you wanted to add a few words, yet your mind couldn't focus on letting out words for his ears to take in.

he licked his small frown quickly, to the point your eyes almost didn't capture that moment. his breath flowed through his words, causing a breathy tone to become prominent. " don't be foolish, now, " he paused, scanning your facial features; then, his lips transitioned into a smirk; a smirk radiating the warmth that glowed within him, " i'd do more than that. "

your eyes just continued laying on him. your expression was blank, processing the words given to you; and as that procession grew, his body only pulled away more, then stood up. his head lowered, and so his eyes caught the moment your irises looked onto the grass. suddenly, your irises flickered onto his, with the desperate attempt for his sharp irises to fully focus on you- on your words— 

" show me, then, " you breathed out, " what else would you do? "

the reason why the layout is different bc this was originally just a random chapter in my book with other random chapters but now this is a oneshot lolololol
