Entering the White Wyrm wasn't problematic, Reina and Hunter had lived in dangerous situations far worse then the serpents to make them look like they belonged to the place just like any other.
Some people would even make path for the duo, feeling something off from them as the female led the path towards the bar, only stopping once she spotted a cage of glass which contained a snake, making a smirk appear on her face.
"What a beauty"
The snake hissed as she got closer, snapping its head in order to attack her, but the brunette simply inched closer, grinning widely, before she returned her way to the bar where Hunter was waiting.
"What took you so long?" His rough voice sounded out as he passed the cup of the Jack Daniel's he had already ordered for her.
"I was admiring the snake, do you think dad will give me one if I close another deal?" Reina questioned playfully, the corner of her lips tilting upwards as she heard him chuckle.
"I think that you'll give yourself one, if he doesn't" clicking their drinks together, the Lodge was quick to finish it off.
"Damn right I will"
"Did you get what I asked you?" Reina changed the subject, her entire demeanor changing as she started to talk business.
Hunter nodded silently, eyes watching everything and everyone, knowing that if they let their guards down one of them could end up in a black bag, with no one to identify their bodies.
"Perfect, you know what to do"
Sometimes he wondered if joining Reina had been the right thing to do, one day he had nothing, no family, no money, stealing food to survive and living on the streets while almost dying from hypothermia.
Then suddenly everything changed, she approached him as if she knew what was hidden under that beaten up and severely malnourished body.
Although he was older than her, on his late 20s, Reina was the one to teach him everything he knew. How to fight, to ride a bike, how to act and how to close a deal.
He no longer had to live in the streets and quite frankly, would never need anymore, considering the amount of money the girl would pay him just to be her right hand and help her out.
In their line of work, Reina knew how much loyalty actually costed and while Hunter never asked her for more, she would make sure he had everything he wished for, because he was the only one she actually trusted beside her twin.
Sometimes she would catch him looking at the bodies with a confused expression painted on his face, as if he was still trying to figure out what was the point of his life, if he had been born to take out the trash as Reina would say.
Their eyes weren't the same, she never hesitated, perhaps it was because she was raised in that lifestyle, she never looked back, she never showed emotion and that's why she opted in freeing him from the killings.
Because she could always get another person to kill the threats, hell, she could do it herself, but she couldn't get another Hunter, so he continued to work with her, doing business and everything else as usual, but without the blood directly on his hands.
Except if she was in trouble, then he wouldn't hesitate to kill every single one.
And that's why they worked so well together, being the only one she brought from New York.
"Can I get you another one, beautiful?" Eyes snapping towards the voice, Reina smirked at the owner while biting her lower lip.
"Only if you drink with me, doll"
Smirking at the brunette, Toni took the bottle of whiskey from the back and signaled for another bartender to cover for her as she went to sit beside the brunette beauty, who was watching her like a predator, not even noticing the absence of the woman's companion.
"Are you new in the city?" Starting the conversation as she poured a generous amount for the both of them, she observed as Reina twirled the cup, eyes watching the golden brown hue as she nodded her head.
"You could say that, what about you? Always lived here?"
Her dark eyes stopped watching the liquid once she was sure there was nothing on it, before she took a sip, turning her attention to the woman by her side with the exquisite pink strands of hair.
"Born and raised, I'm Toni by the way"
"Reina... how good are you at beer pong?" The Lodge suddenly questioned with a mischievous smile, making Toni give her a cocky smirk as she stood from her seat and took her hand, leading them to one of the tables.
"Very good"
"Oh yeah? Then you won't find any problem if we add a little something to the game, will you?" Reina suggested as she stood close to the russet skinned beauty, who had to look up to meet her eyes.
"What do you have in mind, trouble?"
Chuckling quietly at the nickname, Reina leaned down just enough to have the other fidgeting under her gaze "Trouble, huh?"
"You look like trouble to me, am I wrong?"
Instead of answering her question, Reina took a step back, letting a smirk play on her lips as she explained the new rules.
"Every time you miss a shot, you'll do whatever I tell you to do" Reina proposed, making Toni bite her lower lip as she thought about it.
"And what if you miss?"
"Oh darling, I never miss" the smug smirk on her lips only made Toni want to play even more, if it was because she wanted to whip it off her face or rather because of the adrenaline of not knowing what could happen? She didn't know.
"You're on"
