"Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people"

"You ready?" The twins questioned at the same time, making Cheryl smile softly as she looked at the mirror

"You ready?" The twins questioned at the same time, making Cheryl smile softly as she looked at the mirror.

"Just about" Her dark brown eyes, almost black, wandered from her dark red hair to her long dress, never able to meet her own eyes through the reflective surface, before they went to Reina, who was leaning against a wall with her arms crossed behind her back, wearing an elegant all black suit.

The ravenette offered her a wink, catching the Ginger's eyes through the mirror, which put some color to the pale face that once observed her.

"You go ahead, I'll be down in a second" The twins looked at the Blossom with their eyebrows lifted and lips pursed in a thin line, but after sharing a glance, they locked their fingers together and left the room, walking to where the morbid event would take place.

"Do you think she's okay?" Veronica questioned in a whisper, careful of the mindful ears around them.

"No" Reina replied instantly, her hold on her twin tightening as she thought of losing her other half, before she let her onyx orbs roam over the room that was now full of people "Your boy toy seems awfully uncomfortable with Monster Mama, I wonder what they're talking about..."

Veronica followed her twin's gaze, trying to see what she was talking about as she noticed Penelope Blossom with her hand on Archie's cheek.

"Care to find out?" Vee suggested with a mischievous grin, already tugging on her twin's suit as she started to walk in their direction.

"Oh mi alma, you're such a tattletale!"

"Puh-lease! You're just as curious as I am"

Reina couldn't deny it, her smirk widening as they circled the duo, making Archie inhale deeply after standing frozen without even breathing as the Blossom cornered him.

"Mrs. Blossom, I see the rumors of you being friends with Geraldine were true! Who would've known you also liked a younger boy, huh?" Reina spoke awfully loud, which wasn't necessary considering how everyone was already quiet due to the circumstances.

And by circumstances I mean the presence of a DEAD body.

Reina heard a familiar snicker behind her and immediately turned around to face Jughead, who had already stolen some snacks that would be served after the event.

Her twin had an identical smirk on her lips, looking up and down on the ginger as she continued (after a momentary pause to greet the Jones) "I mean we never believed you to be better than those rumors, but to actually try something when your husband and your dead child is in the room? That's just..."

"Filthy" Jughead completed when he noticed Veronica's search for the perfect word, making her lips lift upwards into a grin as Reina chuckled.

They were being mean. Incredibly insensitive. People would whisper this, but no one saw how the Blossom's had treated their now only child nor the twins.

She didn't deserve their condolences.

"You're in my house" Penelope hissed quietly, taking a step closer to the group, that looked incredibly bored with her threat.

Apart from Archie, of course, who was trying and failing miserably to pull Veronica away from the drama.

"We can change that very quickly, dearie" Reina taunted with a smirk that showed that she knew more than she should for her age.

A smirk that made Penelope stop.

Think.

Look between the twins before she shook her head and walked away.

"What just happened?" Archie questioned as they walked over to the chairs, sitting down beside Betty as the twins and Jughead sat down on the row in the back.

"I think what you did was sweet" Betty told the boy, though no one really wanted to know.

"Did she touch your hair? Ew" Jug commented with a frown, flickering a strand of orange hair on his friend's head, which made him glare at him to stop.

"You look good on this suit, I knew it!" Veronica exclaimed, tying up correctly the tie around Jughead's neck, which made him give Reina a pleading look for her to help him out of his misery.

"Of course he does, I chose it" Reina told her twin before she stole some food from the Jones, both of them ignoring the confused and slightly angry looks that were coming from Betsy and Archibald.

Their conversation was interrupted by Cheryl Blossom, dramatically entering the room with her long white dress which was, not so coincidentally, the one she wore when Jason supposedly drowned.

The ginger quickly looked around as she walked between the chairs, looking at her newly made friends for any type of reassurance, and smiled when she saw Reina grinning widely, Veronica putting her hand over her mouth to hide her smile and Jughead giving her thumbs up, with his mouth full (typical).

"Welcome to Thornhill. Thank you all for coming"

"Oh my God..."  the whispers weren't so soft anymore, making Reina roll her eyes as she leaned her head to the side, never breaking eye contact with the ginger who was finally being heard.

"What is she doing?" Betty muttered horrified behind them.

"She's saying - Fuck you, parents! - but in a classy way"
