Her skin crawled.
She hated the sun.
She hated the wind.
She hated the feeling of knives severely cutting her skin with each deep breath she took.
She hated being by the river at that forsaken time, watching as a corpse was removed from the water and the smell of putridity attacked her nostrils.
She hated everything that day, but her mother had forced her to come with them to watch Cheryl's twin dead body.
She hated her mother as well.
She even slightly hated her twin for some reason she couldn't point out.
God... she needed her drugs or she wouldn't survive this day.
Her twin immediately noticed her bitterness, handling a box full of donuts from their hometown, which she had ordered specially for her.
Reina immediately brightened at that, hugging the box of the sweets close to her chest as she closed her eyes with a small smile, making Veronica giggle softly.
Kissing her twin's head, the brunette quickly took one of the treats, not being the slightest bothered to eat in front of the dead body, as her mother gave her a glare, which she purposefully ignored.
"I don't hate you anymore" Reina mumbled as she dropped her head against her sister's shoulder, smiling slightly at the faux gasp from the twin as Vee playfully shoved her away.
"Bitch, why were you even hating me before?" Veronica replied with a scowl, making her sister shrug as she looked at her.
"Your face was annoying me"
At this, she received a deadpan "I hope you know that while we are not identical twins, we do share many traces"
"It must have slipped my mind" Reina teased with a grin, shoving another piece of the donuts on her mouth as Veronica bit back a smile.
"Idiot" shaking her head, Veronica hugged her twin once again before she took her hand and started to walk towards Reina's car.
Seeing beanie boy on the other side, Reina quickly raised her box of donuts in the air, making his eyes lit up as he jogged towards her, stealing one of the donuts as Veronica watched their interaction with wide eyes.
