"After this practice I'll totally need a pedicure... you?" Veronica said as she stretched beside Betty, making a mental note to get a spa day for her and Rei.

"I know everyone grieves differently, but Cheryl's hosting a pep rally to cope with her loss. That's either brilliant or psychotic... or both" maybe that's why my twin has taken interest in her. "Yeah, well, at least Cheryl's not putting on an act, pretending she's a butterfly when she's really a wasp" Betty retorted.
Veronica wanted to laugh, the corner of her lips tilted upwards and she thanked the heavens that Betty couldn't look at her while she said that, preferring to look down at her lap.
Veronica wasn't the only one pretending to be nice, she could be underneath the layers of the good girl act that Betty tried so hard to maintain, it wasn't the time to admit it though.
"For the record, the only reason I went into that closet with Archie was so that Cheryl wouldn't" and while it wasn't time to play bad yet, she wouldn't just let someone talk like that to her "Although, I find it funny how you're placing it all on me as though it was my fault that Archie didn't want anything to do with you and would kiss me hours after you told him how you felt about him. Standing up, Veronica packed her things and gave Betty a fake sweet smile, not that the blonde would know in her shocked state, before she started to leave, rolling her eyes at the pathetic attempt of Elizabeth getting back to her by inviting Cheryl to do pedicure with her.
Her phone suddenly vibrated and she quickly took it from her bag, laughing once she saw the message from her twin.
"Going to annoy mother, it's her first day as a waitress, sooo proud xx"
"Wait for me, I'm just leaving practice"
And Reina did, waiting for Veronica to return before they drove to Pop's, where their mother was now working as a waitress to keep the money coming since Reina refused to share anything regarding her contracts with her.
