"Hey! You know what happens to a snake when a Louis Vuitton heels steps on it?" Reina had to look up from her phone and between her twin and the serpents, her head going back and forth, blinking quickly as she tried to make sense of the scene "Shut the hell up, or you'll find out!"
"Oh someone woke up aggressive today" Reina teased with a smirk, getting near the truck where Veronica, Cheryl and Kevin were.
"I cannot believe you just threaten a gang-banger" Kevin commented as he stared at the twins, watching as Veronica snuggled into her sister's side when she finally sat down "I've dealt with worse in the East Village. I just hate when people disrespect my cinematic experience"
'You deal with worse under your own roof' Reina thought to herself, having to bite her lip in order to keep her mouth shut.
She had just returned from a deliver, some grand value in cash waiting on the mayor's desk for when she finally returned to her office.
Reina made sure to avoid all of the security cameras and to not have any of the money traced back to her, in the mayor's mind, it should have been some of Hiram's henchman who had delivered the package.
And it would stay like that if it was up to Rei.
"Where's the popcorn?" The older twin questioned with a frown as she looked down at the empty bowl, which only had salt now "How dare you, cariño, inviting me to the movies with no popcorn, that's cold, I though you loved me!"
Veronica rolled her eyes playfully but passed the bowl to the red head "How about a refill?" But Cheryl simply passed it back to Kevin with a fake smile "Yes, Kev! What about a refill? And don't forget, cherry cola, as always"
Kevin didn't return and Reina was growing impatient, she was about to gather her things and go to Pop's to try and find Jughead when her twin suddenly caught her wrist and started to pull her to an alley.
"You know, cariño, your outfit is clashing with the vibe" Reina told her with a smirk, observing the nicely fit dress and pearls colar standing out in the dirty alley.
"Shh" Veronica shushed her, placing her hand over Reina's lips, which made the taller twin crinkle her nose in disgust, curving her back downwards to free her mouth.
"Don't 'Shh' me!" Reina hissed quietly "I'm the oldest"
"By two minutes!" Veronica whisper shouted, glaring at the ravenette, who snorted.
"And what good two minutes it was" Reina told her sassily, receiving an elbow against her stomach, which made her gasp as the air left her lungs.
"I hate you"
"I hate you more... what are we even doing here? You should take your boyfriends to the dark alleys, not your goddamn twin!"
The youngest Lodge didn't know if her twin had always been this insufferable, if it was a consequence of not being fed, if she was angry because of the drugs or all of the options above, but she certainly had to take a deep breath in order to not snap back at her as she took some steps forward, in the direction she had seen their mom.
"I saw mom with a Serpent... those biker guys you know?" This instantly made Reina's face change from annoyance to anger as she nodded, following after her sister "do you have any idea what this is about?"
Shrugging, Reina answered "Maybe she wanted to try a new kind of danger? Dad wasn't that thrilling for her, what a shame" she couldn't help but snicker at her own words, watching the corner of her twin's lips tilt upwards as well as she tried to contain her grin.
"Mom wouldn't do that, right?" Vee instigated with a doubtful face, her eyebrows scrunching together as she tilted her head to face her twin once they finally got close enough to watch Hermione talking to the leader of the Serpents.
And when it came up to throwing their business or Hermione under the bus... well, it wasn't much of a choice for Reina.
"I wouldn't be so sure... she's getting quite handsy with orange head's father"
"Archie's father?" Veronica questioned in disbelief, her body immediately recoiling onto her twin's as Reina pulled her back when the adults looked in their direction.
"Do you know another orange haired dude?" Rei whispered in annoyance, keeping her eyes trained on the duo as she saw her mother giving FP a bag full of money.
"Maybe he has discovered about their affair and has threatened to tell daddy!" Vee concluded, hiding in the shadows of her twin with her eyes wide as she watched their interaction.
"Lord, when are you going to stop calling him 'daddy'? My mind goes to bad places every time" Reina admitted, curling her lips as she looked back at Veronica, making the girl scowl, pulling on her twin's ear, which gained a yelp from her.
"Who is there?" FP questioned as he watched the dark alley once again, this made the twins look at each other with wide eyes as Reina nodded in the other direction.
"Race you to my car"
"I can't run in heels! Give me a piggyback!"
It was a fortunate event that Reina could carry Veronica on her back while running, she was thankful for her trainings because if she didn't she was sure they would've been discovered.
"This is fun"
"Seriously? We're running from a gang member!"
Reina couldn't help the laughter that left her lips as she continued to run, never looking back "I know" and this made Veronica laugh as well, in disbelief at first, but laugh nonetheless.
