"How many times do I have to tell you that we are not ready for a dog?" Camila once again told Lauren who was bringing the last box of dishes into their new apartment. Ever since they had bought the place Lauren had been begging for a dog. She thought it would help them start a nice little family. When Camila first heard Lauren say that she only blamed it on the alcohol that they both had been drinking that night. But then the next day when she woke up to Lauren's bright smile she once again asked for a dog. And once again the explanation of starting a nice little family went through her ears.
"If I'm being honest," Lauren started as she put the box down on the floor with the rest of the boxes. And as she looked at Camila she couldn't help but let out a chuckle as she started to count her fingers on how many times Camila had told her they weren't ready for a dog. "A lot but if I'm being truthfully honest," she let out as she started to walk towards Camila putting her hands out for Camila to grab. She smiled as she pulled her in her arms giving her a light kiss on her forehead. "I believe you really want to raise a dog with me."
Camila scoffed as she pushed herself off Lauren who was just laughing. She walked past her as she grabbed a water bottle from the refrigerator rolling her eyes as she heard Lauren teasing her. It wasn't that she wasn't ready for a dog, she just didn't think it was the right time. They were barely moving in their new apartment and it just seemed to soon to be getting a dog. "In your dreams Jauregui, I'll get you a dog in your dreams," she said as Lauren rolled her eyes putting her hands on her shoulders as she gave her a serious look.
"Will you also be naked in my-"
"You're such an ass," Camila interrupted her not wanting to hear about her dreams. Lauren could only laugh as she pulled Camila in her arms once again, and instead of fighting it Camila just melted into it. She looked at Lauren who only gave her a sweet smile which she reciprocated and for a second she wanted to agree with her crazy plan and get a dog but she knew she needed to stand her ground on this topic. "We'll get a dog soon, just don't rush the process," she mumbled quietly into her chest but as she watched Lauren's wide smile she knew she heard her.
It had been a couple months since that conversation but here she was again being shown a dog from Lauren's phone. She rolled her eyes as she walked right past her trying to clean up the coffee shop before closing time. She turned around quickly to bump right into Lauren and she let out a heavy sigh as Lauren once again started talking about adopting the adorable dog. "Lauren please, I'm working," Camila let out in a hurry as she walked past her grabbing another towel to clean the counter.
"You're not working, you're-"
"Cleaning is still working my love," she let out with a wide smile letting Lauren know that now was not the time to be joking around or the time to be bothering her. Lauren sighed as she put the phone in her pocket walking up to Camila who couldn't even begin to clean the counter. She grabbed the towel from her hand leaving a light kiss on the side of her head. "Thank you," she let out as she started to take slow breaths letting Lauren begin the cleaning. She couldn't help but turn to Lauren who was just cleaning and dancing to the music the speakers were letting out.
"I'm sorry for being an ass," Camila confessed as she walked up to Lauren wrapping her arms around her waist. Lauren chuckled as she felt Camila put her chin on top of her shoulder wanting her to feel how sorry she truly was. "I just am stressed that's all," she let out and Lauren turned around as she put a hand on her cheek letting her thumb rub against it. Lauren chuckled as she watched the heat rise on her cheek. "I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry too," Lauren quickly replied as Camila sighed, she chuckled as she left a kiss on her lips letting her know that her being stressed wasn't a big deal for her. "I've been bugging and I have not been helping you," she continued as she began to leave kisses on her cheek and jaw. Camila shook her head as she pulled back and looked at the smirk Lauren was giving her.
