"Still smoking, I see," Lauren heard as she scoffed at Ally telling her the obvious.
"Still watching, I see," Lauren said with a smirk, as Ally rolled her eyes grabbing the joint between her fingers and throwing it on the ground. Lauren gasped at the action as she tried to stop Ally.
"No, step on it," Ally said and Lauren groaned. Ally gave her a stern look and all Lauren could do was step on the joint mushing it with her foot.
"I really hate you," Lauren said and Ally smiled knowing she didn't mean it. Could Lauren ever mean those words?
"Have you talked to Camila?" Ally questioned as she leaned next to Lauren. Lauren sighed at the question not wanting to bring up their relationship. Could she even call it a relationship?
"She hates me," Lauren said quietly looking at the cars pass by them. Rolling her eyes at every single car that would slow down and cat call her and Ally.
"You don't know that," Ally said with a smile knowing Lauren had only said that to stop the conversation from going any further.
"Ally can we not," Lauren started as she grabbed her arm wanting to get away from everyone. "I haven't talked to her and that's because she hasn't talked to me," she said quickly knowing Ally was going to retaliate with a clever answer.
"Maybe she's waiting for you to make the move?" Ally said and Lauren stopped and looked at Ally confused. "Come on Lauren, we all know Camila had to make the first move for you to even agree on whatever messed up relationship you guys have," Ally continued walking as Lauren stood there confused on what to think.
"So you're basically saying I should make the first move?" Lauren yelled at Ally who was already ahead of her. Ally turned back around and tilted her head with a small smile.
"All I'm saying is grow some balls Jauregui and do something that makes you happy," and with that Ally left Lauren there confused.
Lauren that night sat by her bed staring at her phone. Everyone knew the messed up story behind her relationship with Camila, but no one knew the truth.
Camila and Lauren knew and somehow she wanted to fight again. She wanted to fight for her happiness again. The consequences scared her but she knew at that moment, she needed Camila more than ever and she was going to have her. Whether everyone hated it or not.
"I have to make the first move," Lauren finally sighed as she grabbed her phone and scrolled through her contacts when she stumbled on her name she closed her eyes and hit the dial button not wanting to think about anything else but their relationship.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, I really hope you don't answer," Lauren said as she had her eyes closed listening to the phone ring regretting even thinking about Camila.
After what seemed like a decade of listening Lauren thought the phone would eventually stop ringing and go straight to voicemail but she sat there frozen when she heard the voice of Camila instead.
"Lauren?" Camila said through the phone confused on why Lauren had called her. God, even Lauren was confused on why she had called her. "Hello? Lauren are you there?" Camila kept questioning.
"Uh, yeah, sorry, I'm here," Lauren said nervously not realizing that her whole body at that moment was shaking.
Camila chuckled, "Are you sure? You blanked out on me, I thought you had butt dialed me for a second," Camila said and all Lauren could do was chuckle.
"No, I'm right here," Lauren said and suddenly they both fell into silence not knowing what to say. All Lauren could hear was Ally telling her to grow some balls and at that moment she needed to. "Come over."
With that Lauren hung up, throwing her phone behind her not wanting to see it again. "What the fuck did I just do?" Lauren questioned herself as she looked at the floor. "Am I crazy? Holy fuck I'm crazy," Lauren laid down on her bed for what seemed like a minute before she heard a knock on her door.
"Holy fuck," Lauren stood up as she slowly walked to the door. She looked through her peephole and saw Camila standing there almost confused on why Lauren hadn't opened the door yet. Lauren took a deep breath and opened the door.
Camila was surprised when she saw Lauren, "Uh, I thought I had gotten the wrong apartment," Camila let out a small chuckle as Lauren gave her a smile moving to the side for her to come inside.
"It looks nice," Camila said as she looked around the empty apartment. Lauren laughed as she sat down on the couch waiting for Camila to sit next to her.
"It's empty," Lauren had confirmed and Camila nodded as she sat next to her still looking around.
"Why did you call?" Camila questioned after she came back to her senses that Lauren was next to her. "You already know I can't talk to you," Camila said quietly looking down.
"I hate your family," Lauren said harshly as Camila nodded, as if she hadn't heard those words a thousand times. "Do you hate me, Camila?"
Camila swallowed the lump in her throat not knowing how to answer that. "I have to hate you, Lauren," Camila said as she closed her eyes knowing what she said was a lie.
"Do you hate me?" Lauren questioned one more time scooting closer to Camila.
Camila turned to her looking Lauren up and down knowing what was next, but she couldn't fall into temptation not again, not this time, "I hate you, Lauren."
Lauren gave her a small smile as she leaned in close to Camila. She realized Camila wasn't moving nor fighting against it, so she leaned in closer planting a kiss on her lips. "You hate me?" She questioned one more time.
"Yes," Camila confirmed as she leaned in teasingly, not satisfying Lauren, pulling back from giving her what she wanted.
Lauren quickly went on Camila's lap, knowing she had won her over. Now all she needed was Camila to stay with her. She leaned in next to her ear with a smirk, "Show me how much you hate me."
