The Truth that was kept Secret (Naruto fanfic)

Bad and good news

"Just stay here, I don't want you to get hurt." Minato told a five year old girl with long, red hair and bright blue eyes.

"Will you come back?" she asked him.

"I'll do my best." he replied. Minato gave her a kiss on her forehead and left, leaving her behind in an empty room. The girl was Fuyu Namikaze, his daughter. She had her mother's hair and face, but her father's eyes. She was soon brought to a safer place by a jounin of the village.

Fuyu's pov

"Your parents are..." a jounin started.

"Are they dead?" I asked in shock. "But daddy promised me he would come back!" I shouted. I knew my mother was pregnant and I came to believe that the brother I could have was now dead too.

6 years later

I was walking through Konoha when I saw a six year old boy being beaten up. I walked towards them and asked the attacker what he was doing. "You know, he's..." the villager started. "He deserves it!"

I knew my father sealed the demon fox inside an infant, I just never knew who it was. I wouldn't blame him, though. It wasn't his fault what the fox had done. The villager soon left, murmuring things about me being crazy. I ignored it and kneeled down to look at the boy. He had bright, blue eyes and blonde, spiky hair. He really reminded me of my father. "I don't understand..." the boy muttered. "Why do all the villagers hate me? Why did you help me?"

"I don't know why all those villagers hate you. What's your name?" I replied.

"Naruto Uzumaki!" he replied. Uzumaki... Isn't that my mother's last name? Maybe there were more from her clan left than she thought...

"I'm Fuyu Namikaze. Do you have a goal, something you want to do in the future?" I asked.

Naruto seemed to be thinking about it. Suddenly, his eyes started to sparkle. "I'm going to be the next Hokage and make everyone respect me!"

I chuckled and stood up. "That's a very noble dream of yours. My father was the fourth Hokage, he died while protecting the village. My mother died on the same night. I was five at the time... but I'm not alone!" I told him.

"I never knew my parents..." Naruto muttered.

"I'm sure you'll find out who they were eventually." I said. "But I need to go now, I need to get to the academy!" I waved him goodbye and ran off.

Third Hokage pov

I smiled when I saw Fuyu helping Naruto out through my crystal ball. I suddenly heard a knock on the door. Kakashi entered and told me he wanted to quit with the ANBU cops.

Fuyu's pov

I stared out of the window. I just took the graduation test yesterday and I was waiting for our sensei to arrive. It was early, but still...

My teammates were Kai and Juro. Kai was a guy with a lot of energy. He had brown hair, blue eyes and a pale skin with a lot of freckles. I often saw him argue with my other teammate, Juro. Juro had green hair, green eyes and a peach skin. He was also a very energetic person with a one tracked mind.

The door opened and revealed a man with black hair, green eyes and a slightly tanned skin. He wore the traditional jounin outfit with his headband worn like a belt. "My first impression of you... you two look like idiots, and the girl looks normal."

"She's the daughter of the fourth Hokage!" Kai exclaimed. "And she's really nice!"

"I could've told him myself, but thanks for the compliment." I said.

"How about we go to one of the training grounds?" the man said. "We'll get to know each other there."

On the training ground, the man asked us to introduce ourselves. "Name, likes, dislikes, dream for the future... that'll do." he said. "How about you go first?" he asked while pointing at me.

I nodded. "My name is Fuyu Namikaze. I like training, ramen and sunshine. I don't like people who judge people only looking at their past. My dream is to be able to protect the ones I care about." I said.

"Don't you want to become Hokage, like your father?!" Kai asked.

"I don't feel like becoming Hokage. I might say yes if I get the chance, but I it isn't particularly my dream." I replied.

"My turn!" Juro exclaimed. "I'm Juro Midori, I like dangos and training my ass off! I hate waiting and people who don't care about their friends! My dream is to become the greatest shinobi ever!"

"I'm Kai Akane, I like dangos, ramen and training! I hate it when people call me a baka!" Kai exclaimed while glaring at Juro. "I'm going to be the best shinobi ever! Not you, Juro!"

They kept arguing about who was a better shinobi. "Guys..." I said. "Shouldn't we be listening to our new sensei instead of arguing?"

They both nodded as a reply before calming down. They did keep glaring at each other. "My name is Daisuke. I like to train and relax and I don't like it when people pretend to be someone they're not. My dream for the future... never really thought about it..." our new sensei said. "Let's get to the point. I'm going to test you and determine or you're worthy of becoming genin. If you can't convince me, you'll be sent back to the academy."

"What?!" Juro exclaimed. "But...!"

"Then don't screw up, dope!" Kai shouted at Jugo.

"You too, baka!" Juro shouted back.

"Guys! Please. Shut. Up!" I interrupted their argument. They immediately shut their mouths. "Thank you." I told them with a smirk.

"I thought you said she was really nice?" Daisuke-sensei said.

"She is!" Kai exclaimed. "Normally..."

"When they're not arguing, I am." I told him. Kai and Juro nodded heavily.

The next day

"Stop scratching me!" Juro exclaimed while we were returning a cat to their owner. I chuckled and Kai laughed out loud. Even Daisuke-sensei was chuckling. "Hey! This is not funny!" Juro exclaimed.

"It's not funny, it's hilarious!" Kai told him with a huge grin on his face.

"Hand the cat over to me." I told Juro. Juro gave the cat to me, who did seem not wanting to leave Juro's arms.

"Juro, I think that cat likes you, it's just expressing itself on a different way." Daisuke-sensei said.

"Not. Funny!" Juro said.

After returning the cat, I stayed to ask the Hokage something. "What is it, Fuyu?" he asked.

"I want to ask you something about Naruto Uzumaki." I replied.

"I knew this day would come. Don't tell anyone what I'm going to tell you now, not even Naruto." he replied. "Naruto is your little brother."

"BROTHER?!" I asked. "You just let me live for six years without me knowing anything about this?" I was kinda angry at the Hokage for not telling me sooner. On the other hand, I was also happy to hear that I still had family left. "It does explain why he looks like my father so much..." I muttered.

"I have my reasons." the Hokage said.

"I understand." I said. "I won't tell anyone." I realized that it was going to be difficult and awkward at some times, but the least I could do was try, right
