The Truth that was kept Secret (Naruto fanfic)

Kabuto

Fuyu's pov

Itachi and I had been walking for quite a while now. I was using sensory mode to try and find Kabuto.

"Don't exhaust yourself, Fuyu." Itachi said.

"Don't worry, I won't." I told him. "Besides, I'm not tired that fast."

It started to rain and we started searching for shelter. We found a cave soon and waited for the rain to stop.

*timeskip no jutsu*

We had discussed our plan. Instead of sensing him, I tried smelling him. I summoned Akane, who was surprised I summoned after such a long time. "Lady Fuyu, what do I need to do?"

"I need you to find Kabuto by scent. Sensing him costes too much chakra." I said.

"What are you going to do with him? You're going to fight him?" Akane asked.

I nodded and Akane soon started sniffing. "Found him." she said after sometime. "This way."

She walked off and we followed her. We arrived at a cave, but as soon as Akane entered, she started trembling. "Akane, what's wrong?" I asked softly.

"This chakra..." she muttered, shaking her head. "It's..."

"What a pleasant surprise, you two visiting me." I heard an all too familiar voice.

"Seems like we found you." Itachi said. "Kabuto."

Kabuto, wearing a red cloak revealed himself, a grin decorating his face. "I hate to break it to you, but all those scales and those lines underneath your eyes makes you look worse." I told him.

"That's not like you, Fuyu." he said. "But how did you find me?"

"Just being honest." I replied.

"We got a hint, and Fuyu's summon smelled you." Itachi answered his other question.

Third person pov

"What are you doing here?" Kabuto asked in a creepy tone, creeping Akane out. Akane was glad Fuyu said she could go away if she wanted, and she disappeared soon, trusting Fuyu and Itachi that they could beat Kabuto.

"Let's get started, shall we?" Kabuto said, standing in a fighting pose, a snake crawling out of his cloak from underneath. It stared at the two ex-Akatsuki members, who got ready to fight him too.

Fuyu pulled out a few kunai and threw them in different directions, making sure they'd surround Kabuto. Fuyu glared at him, signing him to get behind a rock.

While Fuyu distracted Kabuto, Itachi got behind the rock, believing that Fuyu would stay alive. She had Uzumaki blood after all.

"You think you can beat me on your own?" Kabuto asked her. "Or is this some kind of trap?"

Fuyu narrowed her eyes and pulled out another kunai. She threw it in his direction and immediately ran towards him, a Rasengan forming in her hand. Kabuto dodged the kunai, but Fuyu transported above him and landed a hit on him.

Kabuto got out alive by gagging himself up and immediately attacked Fuyu with his snakes. Fuyu transported to another kunai and made chakra chains appear from her stomach, wrapping around Kabuto's body. "Now!" she exclaimed before a bunch of kunai were thrown from behind the rock where Itachi was.

Kabuto once again gagged himself up, but Fuyu reacted immediately, letting the chakra chains wrap around Kabuto again. Kabuto smirked. "What do you plan on doing with me? I won't let you disturb my plans."

"What are you planning on doing?" Itachi asked, now standing next to Fuyu, sharingan activated.

"And what is Madara's plan?" Fuyu added, staring at Kabuto. "What does he needs the Tailed Beasts for?"

"By the time you defeat me, the village you both want to protect might be already destroyed and 'Madara' might have already declared war to the Kages." Kabuto said with a smirk.

"Are you planning on cooperating with him? How do you plan on winning a war, while your up against five nations?" Fuyu asked, still staring at Kabuto, to make sure he didn't make a suspicious move.

Fuyu was starting to get tired from using her chakra chains, but she could continue restraining him using her determination. Itachi and Kabuto both noticed it too. Kabuto took advantage of the weakening chakra chains and freed himself. He immediately used Edo Tensei to summon the real Madara.

"What...?" Itachi muttered. "But..."

"Tobi is not Madara." Kabuto said. "As you can see."

Itachi activated his Susanoo and got ready to seal Madara away as soon as he would get the chance. Fuyu got ready to fight Kabuto again and make sure he wouldn't make it out the cave. Fuyu now knew he could use Edo Tensei, which would become a great advantage for the Akatsuki.

'You won't get away Kabuto...' Fuyu thought. She would do anything to protect all of the villagers, no matter what. She wasn't fully behind the idea of Itachi fighting the undead Madara on his own, but she knew there was no other way.

"You've already used up quite a lot of chakra, what makes you think you can beat me? Or if Itachi can beat Madara?" Kabuto asked. "You're weak." he added, trying to get Fuyu angry enough for her to stop thinking things through and attack him recklessy.

"You shouldn't have said that." Fuyu replied surprisingly calm, but with a hint of anger in her voice. She pulled out the last transportation kunai she had and threw a few of them before the entrance of the cave and the rest behind and next to Kabuto. "I'm not fully drained yet."

She pulled out a blade and tried to attack him from the front first, but he was able to dodge it. Before Kabuto could attack her, she transported to another kunai and tried to attack him from beside him.

Kabuto wasn't hit and hit her instead. She grunted in pain as a sword made contact with her hand, piercing through it. "You're weak and pathetic." Kabuto said with a grin. "What were you thinking when you thought you could fight me and win?"

Fuyu glared at Itachi, who was already starting to seal Madara away, using the sword he had when his Susanoo was activated. Suddenly, Kabuto unsummoned Madara and started to walk away, leaving the exhausted Fuyu and Itachi behind. He walked away slowly, believing that both of them were too exhausted to fight him and that they were on the edge of dying.

Suddenly, a sword went right through him, the same sword he used to pierce through Fuyu's hand. "Don't... underestimate... me..." he heard her say. He turned his hand and saw she had a smirk on her face. "Don't forget Uzumakis are very hard to kill."

After Kabuto fell down, with the sword still going through his chest, Fuyu's arms surrendered ans she fell on her stomach. She turned on her back and looked at Itachi, who was wrapping pieces of his own shirt around her wounds, because they didn't have any bandages nearby.

"I'll... be fine..." Fuyu muttered. "I'll... get... through all... this." Fuyu looked at Itachi with a determined look on her face.

Itachi looked back at her and a small smile escaped his lips when he realized Fuyu wasn't lying and that she was going to be fine. "Promise?"

"I promise." Fuyu replied before Itachi kissed her on the lips.
