The Truth that was kept Secret (Naruto fanfic)

For the sake of the village

Naruto had left the village with Jiraya to search for Tsunade. Meanwhile, I was called by Danzou, the leader of the ANBU. "What is it?" I asked him.

"I've got an important mission for you." Danzou replied.

"Now?! But--"

"It's very important. I think you're the only one who can do this mission. You have to kill a certain someone, he'a a major threat to the village."

I nodded. "I understand. Is there anything more?"

Danzou nodded. "You'll have to join the Akatsuki and gather as much information as possible."

"But--"

"It's for the sake of the village. And don't forget they're also after Naruto. You want to protect them both, don't you?" Danzou interrupted me.

I nodded. "Who is this man you're talking about?"

"His name is Hideaki." He showed me where to find him and I was dismissed. I went home and thought about how I was going to do it. I wanted to make it quick and as painless as possible. 'Why me?' I thought.

In the deas of the night, I put on my ANBU outfit, grabbed my katana and left my apartment. I headed towards the house of this Hideaki and found out he had a wife, who was pregnant. How could a man like this be a danger to the village? "Daddy! I can't sleep!" I heard a high pitched voice.

Oh my kami, also a little kid? I waw going to feel so guilty for doing this. 'Don't get lead by emotions, this is all for the sake of the village.' I told myself. 'All for the sake of the village.' While waiting for his wife and children to leave him alone, I kept telling myself it was all for the villager's sake. When the man was alone, I appeared behind him and stabbed him. "I'm sorry..." I muttered before pulling out my sword. I looked around the room and found out this man was a very important man.

I quickly left when I heard footsteps. on my way out of the village, I heard cries. Tears were swelling up. I had just ruined the life of a pregnant woman and her child. I heard quick footsteps behind me. "You!" a woman screamed. "You did it, didn't you?!"

I remained silent. "Answer me! You killed my husband!" I turned around.

"I'm sorry, but it needed to happen." I said.

"But he was my--, wait, aren't you the daughter of the fourth Hokage, Fuyu Namikaze?!" the woman said whith tears in her eyes.

I nodded and disappeared. I appeared near the gates. I left the village and met up with a man with orange hair who wore a cloak with red clouds on it.

Arriving at the base, I was introduced to all the other members. Pein, Konan, Hidan, Kakuzu, Deidara, Sasori, Kisame Hoshikage, Tobi and Itachi Uchiha. "This is our newest member, Fuyu Namikaze." the man who brought me said before leaving.

"Tobi thinks it's a pleasure to neet you, Fuyu-chan!" Tobi said. He wore an orange mask with only one hole for his eye.

Itachi looked at me with a cold expression. "Welcome to the Akatsuki." Konan said.

"Another one from Konoha, huh? Seems like Konoha is a town full of criminals." Kisame joked.

Naruto's pov

I had just returned to the village with Ero-sennin and Granny Tsunade. She was healing Sasuke when Kakashi-sensei entered. "Kakashi-sensei!" I exclaimed.

"I've got bad news. We've heard news that Fuyu Namikaze had become a missing-nin."

"Nee-chan had become a missing-nin?! What are you talking about?!" I replied.

"She killed an important man in Konoha. His wife told us what happened. After killing that man, she left the village." Kakashi-sensei replied.

"NEE-CHAN WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!" I yelled back.

"Kakashi, is this true?" Granny Tsunade asked him. "Is there more we should know?"

Kakashi-sensei nodded. "Rumors have been going around that she joined the Akatsuki."

I was shocked. Why would nee-chan join an organization which is after me? "Naruto, I know this is hard to believe. I didn't believe it at first too." Kakashi-sensei said.

"No way, this can't be happening! Nee-chan would never do something like this! She would never kill someone innocent, become a missing-nin and join the Akatsuki! I don't want to believe it!" I replied.

"I know her longer than you. This isn't something you would expect her to do. She must have had a reason, or she was hiding who she really was for a long time." Kakashi-sensei said.

Flashback

"Naruto, don't let those villagers stop you from becoming Hokage." Fuyu-chan told me. "I care about this village and the villagers in it. I know they'll acknowledge you some day. You'll prove them that they were wrong to treat you this way."

"You really think so?" I replied happily.

"I know it for sure. You're a special kid." she replied.

"Then why do those villagers treat me this way? Why do they hate me?!"

"I don't know. But like I said, thet will acknowledge you, like you want them to."

End of flashback

"This can't be true!" I exclaimed. "Three years ago, she told me she deeply cared for the village, including all of the villagers. She said she even cared for all those villagers who treated me badly! She said they would realize that they were wrong when I would make them acknowledge me!"

"Let's talk about it later. We need to visit Lee first." Granny Tsunade said. "I thought you wanted me to heal him too? And Kakashi, when I'm done, you'll have to tell me everything in detail!"

Sakura came too when we visited Lee. "Sakura, you can't believe what Kakashi-sensei said too, right?!" I asked her. "You know her the same way I do! You can't possibly believe them!"

"Well... I can't see why Kakashi-sensei would lie about something like this, I mean, it's pretty serious..."
