The Truth that was kept Secret (Naruto fanfic)

Fuyu's pov

Me and my teammates stopped by Ichiraku ramen to celebrate we had become Chunin. When we arrived, I saw a familiar face. "Fuyu-chan!" he exclaimed.

"Good to see you again, Naruto." I said. "It's not a surprise you're here."

"So you're Naruto..." Jugo said. "It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm Jugo, best shinobi ever!"

"I'm Kai, I'm the best shinobi ever, not him!" Kai shouted.

"Guys... I thought your fights were over..." I muttered. "Would you please shut up?"

Kai and Juro didn't listen to me at all. "Same as usual?" Teuchi asked. Suddenly, Kai and Juro were silent and sat down. I sweatdropped.

"Of course!" they both yelled. "Fuyu will pay!" Kai added.

"What?! I never said that!" I told them. "I said we could eat something to celebrate us becoming chunin and offered to get some ramen!"

"Am I late?" I heard Daisuke-sensei say. I turned around and saw that he was smiling. "I'll pay for the three of you!"

"Thank you, Daisuke-sensei!" Juro said before hugging him. Naruto was watching us while eating his ramen.

I walked Naruto home after having ramen. It took quite long and it had become really late. We were having so much fun with the five of us. My teammates obviously liked Naruto. "So, what have you been up to?" I asked him.

"I had my first day in the academy today! There's also this really pretty girl in my class... but she's chasing after Sasuke!"

"Isn't he the only Uchiha left?" I asked.

"Yeah, yeah, and he's emo!" Naruto replied. I chuckled. "Just stay yourself Naruto, and don't get in trouble. I'm going on a mission very soon, and I won't be back for at least two weeks."

"But... then what about me?! You're like a sister to me! Believe it!" Naruto exclaimed.

I couldn't help, but smile. "Thank you Naruto, you're like a little brother to me too."

"Good luck, nee-chan!"

I set him off, waved goodbye and turned around to walk away. On my way home, I saw Kakashi, my father's former student. "Kakashi-san, what are you doing here this late?"

"I could ask you the same, Fuyu." he replied.

"I asked first." I replied with a smirk.

Kakashi-san sighed. "Strolling." he replied shortly.

"I brought someone home and now I'm going home too." I said.

"You seem very happy today, Fuyu." Kakashi-san said. "Did something good happen?"

"First of all, I became chunin." I said. "And Naruto started seeing me like a sister. Too bad I can't tell him yet..." I knew Kakashi-san and a few other Leaf shinobi knew about Naruto being my brother.

"You'll be able to tell him some day." Kakashi-san told me. "How about me bringing you home?"

I nodded and walked home with Kakashi-san. On the way, we talked about different things, like how life was going. "It's hard to not tell Naruto I'm his sister..." I muttered.

"Here you are." Kakashi-san said. We stood near a small house, enough for a small family.

"Thank you for walking with me, Kakashi-san. Have a good night." I said before waving goodbye and entering my house. I directly went to my bedroom. I had that mission tomorrow, I needed to be able to stay awake. I kept thinking about what happened today. He said he saw me like a sister...

I smiled and closed my eyes. After a while, I fell into a dreamless and peaceful sleep.

"Fuyu-chan!" Juro yelled at me. I jumped up and stared at him and Kai.

"What are you doing in my house?!" I demanded. "You know I'm not a morning person!"

"You've overslept. You need to be at the gate in ten minutes!" Kai shouted. "Now hurry up!"

I shooed them away, quickly got dressed, grabbed my weapon pouch and did my hair in a ponytail. I quickly left, heading towards the gates. "You're late, that's not like you." Daisuke-sensei said tauntingly. "What happened?"

"I overslept." I replied. "Now shall we go? What kind of mission is it anyway?"

"We'll tell you on our way towards the meeting spot." Kai said. "Let's go!"

Daisuke-sensei chuckled. "Kai, that's my job as squad leader." he said. "You should know your place."

Kai laughed sheepishly. "Of course! It was just a suggestion!"

"Let's go already!" Juro shouted. "I'm so ready! If we run into enemy, I'll kick their asses!"

"On your own?" Kai asked him. "I doubt you can do that..."

"Kai! I'm a better ninja than you! That's a fact! Right, Fuyu-chan?!" Juro said angrily.

I shook my head, laughing. "I think I'm going to stay out of it. Daisuke-sensei, what is our mission about?"

Daisuke-sensei told me we had to protect an important businessman from a rich village near Iwa. When we saw our client on the meetingspot, I wasn't surprised by tge way he looked at all. He wore big sunglasses - too big for him - a fur coat - poor fluffy animals - and at least two rings on each finger. "Ah! The shinobi I've ordered to protect me has arrived!" he said. His accent sounded like a rich and spoiled man to me too.

"This is not going to be pleasant, is it?" Kai whispered in Juro's ear. Seriously, what was up with those two? At one moment, they would be arguing over who's better, and the next they can get along just fine!

Juro nodded. "He seems really spoiled..."
