Card games and a mission

Fuyu's pov

It had been a week since I joined the Akatsuki. I got used to everyone except Zetsu, the man with the split personality and Kakuzu, the greedy man with creeypy eyes. Tobi was just plain annoying. He could truly bring out my Uzumaki temperament.

"Tobi! Shut up! I'm trying to focus!" I shouted.

"BUT TOBI IS JUST HAPPY TO NOT BE ALONE IN THE HIDEOUT!" Tobi exclaimed.

I sighed. "What do I have to do to make you shut up?!"

"PLAY WITH TOBI!" Tobi replied.

"Fine. Let's do hide and seek. You'll hide, I'll seek." Tobi quickly left as soon as I closed my eyes. No way I was actually going to look for him, I just used it as an excuse for him to get away from me. 'Finally, some peace...' I thought.

"Where's Tobi?" I suddenly heard a familiar voice. It was Itachi's.

"Not here." I replied.

"Why not? I would think he wants some company." Kisame said.

"We're playing hide and seek, but I don't feel like searching for him. He's probably somewhere in the base, though." I replied.

"YOU'RE CHEATING!" Zetsu yelled at himself.

"NO YOU'RE CHEATING!" he replied.

"You know, you're both cheating..." I stated. This was one of those rare moments we were all in the same hideout and we were playing card games, while Zetsu was now accusing himself of cheating. "You can see each other's cards..."

"She has a point..." Itachi muttered.

"Why didn't you just work together instead of being seperate players?" I asked.

Konan chuckled, Tobi was laughing at loud - so did Hidan, Kisame and Deidara - and the rest didn't show any emotion, like expected. Zetsu put both sets of cards down and said he didn't want to do this anymore. "Do you have any better ideas about what we could do besides card games? I mean, what else could we do with all of us?" I asked him.

Somehow, Deidara and Sasori were arguing about what true art is. "IT'S A BANG!" Deidara shouted.

"True art is eternal, not like those stupid explosions of you." Sasori replied. 

And so it went on for a while, until Pein was sick of it. "Both of you, shut up." he said. They both immediately shut up.

"TOBI WANTS TO PLAY AGAIN!" Tobi exclaimed.

"I'm afraid you're the only one." I said. "Let's do something else already..."

Meanwhile, in Konoha, a week ago

"We should search for her IMMEDIATELY!" Daisuke said. "This isn't like her at all!"

"Daisuke-sensei is right!" Juro added. "She would never do something like that!"

"She isn't an S-rank criminal!" Kai said. "She's too kind to be--"

"THE THREE OF YOU! SHUT IT! THE ANBU HAS ALREADY FOUND PROOF THAT IT WAS HER! NOW SHUT UP AND LISTEN!" Daisuke, Juro and Kai immediately became silent. "It's your job to try and track her down. I've also assigned Kakashi to this mission, so the four of you will have to carry this mission out. This could also be our chance on gathering information about the Akatsuki."

"Hai, Hokage-sama!" the three of them said. "When will we leave?"

Back at the base, normal time

I was practically alone in the hideout with Itachi. Everyone was on a mission, but me, Itachi and Kisame. Kisame was training, while Itachi and I were doing nothing, actually. "Itachi, can I talk to you?" I asked Itachi.

Itachi nodded. "What do you want to talk to me about?"

"Why did you kill your entire clan, minus Sasuke? Sasuke said what you told him, but I don't believe it." I said.

"Why did you join the Akatsuki?" Itachi asked.

"I asked first." I replied.

"What I told Sasuke was the truth." Itachi said.

"I don't believe it. That's not the Itachi I know. Even so, why would you only let your little brother live?" I said. "I thought you deeply cared for your clan."

"Why do you want to know?" Itachi asked.

"Because I... I still care about you. I never gave up on you." I replied.

"You answer me first. I doubt you'll be able to help capture him." Itachi said. I knew who he was talking about.

"Stop trying to change the subject. All I want to hear is the truth. Then at least tell me something about Danzou, something's really off about that guy." I replied.

Itachi seemed to be surprised. "Why are you asking me?"

"Because you're the only one in the Akatsuki who knows him and I doubt I could ask someone from the village because they would probably want to kill me."

"Why do you want to know more about him anyway?" Itachi asked.

"Because he gave me the order to kill him." I said softly. "I was seen by that man's wife and had to leave the village. Now I'm at least protected." I added, which was mostly a lie.

"I'll tell you, just not here." Itachi replied. I nodded as a reply.

After what Itachi had told me, I could make up that Danzou was a selfish jerk, who only wanted control over the Leaf village. 'Control huh?' I thought.
