"You mean... I'm on Earth?" Maria squealed excitedly. She was about to get off of the table she was on when she realized the only thing covering her was a thing sheet of cloth. Which brought her to another thing.

She was covered in fur. "What happened to me?"

Eggman leaned back and stroked his stache. "You see, we're relatives. When I was looking through some of Uncle Robotnik's plans, I saw some of giving you life with an artificial body. So I decided to make that come true."

"What happened to the Ark?" She asked, blue eyes slightly dimming. "Am I still sick?"

Heechul grimaced. Had the doctor thought that far?

"There still might be traces of your illness. We would have to do analysis on you later on. And the Ark is fine. We can go visit later if you'd like," Eggman easily replied. "Orbot and Cubot will help you. We'll be right back dear."

The doctor grabbed Heecul's arm and dragged him away from the trio. "This will turn out better than expected Heechul," the doctor cackled.

"She doesn't seem evil though," Heechul replied, picturing the hedgehog's smile. Not in the slightest. How did she fit in the plan of stealing the chaos energy from the two mangy hedgehogs, he had no idea.

"In time, dear Heechul. In time. Besides, she is a robot. She will do what we say."

Sally laughed as she listened to Scourge and Knuckles argue. Rouge had excused herself a while ago and hadn't come back. "Is it true you were the commander when Sonic was defeated several years ago?"

Both Sally and Knuckles grimaced. It wasn't a time they necessarily liked to remember. "Yes. It wasn't easy. Eggman seemed to have trick after trick up his sleeve. He was fully prepared for anything we were going to throw at him."

Scourge gave him a smile. "It's nice to hear that you weren't pinning after the chaos emeralds for once."

Oh jeez, here they go again, Sally thought. I wonder where Amy and Rouge are?

Amy found an empty room and closed the door. There was a bed and a nightstand, and a window with the view to the backyard-- where she had just been.

Tears silently began to fall. She hurt him. And he hurt her. The hedgehog slid down against the door and buried her face into her knees. Things weren't supposed to happen this way- but they had. Almost exactly like her vision.

As the tears began to dry out, her ears began to be open again to the world around her. The almost quiet creaking of the house, the laughter from the reunion. But rung the loudest was her heart. Part of it told her it wasn't her fault, it was all his. Yet another part told her she should have told him many years ago that she had moved on. Maybe they wouldn't be in this mess then.

"Hon?" Amy's head shot up before turning around and facing the shut door in disbelief. "Are you in there?"

It was Rouge. Of course she would come looking for her after Sonic appeared without her.

"Might as well open the door Amy." Said hedgehog yelped and turned around again, as the fire cat sat on the bed studying her claws.

"H-how?"

"Eh, I went to the bathroom and teleported here to this room. No biggie. Now, open the door and let Rouge in. It's not that hard. We're all gonna talk."

Amy sniffed and reached up for the door knob. Once she opened the door, she scooted back, the door slowly opening to reveal Rouge. "Hon, what happened?" She asked, closing the door and getting down to her level. A hand reached out and wiped away a tear streaming down her face.
