A Black and Red Rose (Revision) [Shadamy]

Knock knock.

"Going!" Amy called, taking off her oven mitts. She wiped her hands on her apron before opening the door. "Shadow!" She smiled.

The ebony hedgehog smiled in turn. "Hello to you too, Rose." He leaned in to hug her, smelling the aroma of something sweet. "What are you doing?"

"Oh! I was making cookies! You can have some if you'd like." She turned to go back into the kitchen, her pony tail nearly smacking Shadow's chest.

Shadow in turn let out an airy laugh and began to close the door, before a voice roared through the house. "Shadow the Hedgehog, don't you dare eat my cookies!"

His head snapped to look at Amy, who in turn gave him an incredulous look. Before long, a castless green hedgehog stomped down the stairs. "Ah, Scourge. Good to see you out of those casts."

"Can it, Shadzy boy, these cookies? Are mine! My sister makes the best cookies and there's no way in hell I'm sharing them," Scourge spat, blue eyes glowing. He walked into the kitchen, Shadow in tow.

"Scourge, there's enough for the both of you," Amy sighed, rubbing a hand on her forehead and closing her eyes. Scourge scoffed.

"He can get his own damn cookies, these are my celebratory cookies for getting those hellish casts off at last." He declared, crossing his arms infront of him.

Shadow rolled his eyes. As much as the green hedgehog was experienced, he was just as...jaunty. It almost reminded him of the blue baboon. Which reminded him...

"Rose? Can we speak? Alone," his gaze flew over to Scourge who in turn gave him a murderous look.

"Look here buddy, you may be the Ultimate Lifeform, but if you hurt my sister or do something ro her, nothings going to save you from an ultimate wh-- hey!"

Amy yanked on her brother's ear closest to her. Her eyes also began to glow, almost matching Scourge's. The elder in turn upped the staring game.

Shadow looked back and forth between the two of them. Was this what his future in-law was like?

Amy suddenly smiled very sweetly at her older brother, effectively stopping the thought processes of both hedgehogs, as well as the ongoing staring match. Her free hand reached over to the tray and grabbed a cookie.

"You wouldn't!" Scourge exclaimed, jaw dropping open as well as paling a bit.

Her smile turned into a smirk, and Shadow felt his heart pound. Then she proceeded to bite into the cookie. "Mm, yummy. Shadow have one!"

His ears flattened against his head. "I don't know Rose..."

She put the cookie in her mouth before reaching again and throwing him a cookie. He caught it and stared at it, almost unbelievably. "While it's still hot, Shadow." He sighed, tentatively taking a bite.

Crimson eyes widened as flavor exploded his mouth. He'd never tasted cookies like this. He heard Amy laugh and he looked up at her, her eyes filled with warmth and her smile only for him. "That's how I know you're a keeper." She winked.

"My...my cookies..."

Amy looked at her brother and rolled her eyes again. "You have plenty!" She said, finishing her own cookie. "Come on Shadow!" Letting go of her brother's ear, she walked over to Shadow and linked arms with him.

"Uh...yeah."

"This is my house?" Maria walked through the white picket fence, down a stone path to a small house. It wasn't far to her Uncle Eggman's house. She pursed her lips. Uncle Eggman. He was a strange man.

She heard a metal clang behind her and she whipped around to face it. Her eyes widened when she saw a blue "hedgehog" with blood red eyes zeroed on her. "Um... hello?"

"Sister?"

Maria blinked, did it just speak? What did it mean with sister? "Metal!" Came a voice. Maria's ears twitched sort of stiffly. Was it that Heechul man?

Soon enough, the dark haired, blue eyed man appeared next to "Metal", panting from having caught up. "What do you think of your new house?" He asked once he composed himself.

Maria looked back. Its door was blue, and one floor for the most part. The walls were made out of stone-- she'd seen houses like this before in books-- surrounded by flowers and flowers. She definitely had her form of entertainment. She glanced back at Heechul. "It's perfect!"

She walked on in to the house, leaving Heechul to sigh outside. He looked down at Metal. "Listen here you bucket of bolts, you almost ruined our plan."

"Sister."

"She's a robot like you made by Eggman but she can't know," Heechul pinched the bridge of his nose, trying not to lose his patience with the robot. This was one of the reasons he didn't trust them.

He looked up at the house where Maria... where the robot had disappeared off to. She had no hints of evil. Absolutely none. But the doctor kept assuring she would change.

How much longer would he have to wait?

He tsked in disdain and shook his head. "I'm leaving. You go back to the professor. I'm going for a walk in the city. Don't come looking for me. That's an order." He fiddled with his watch and pressed a button, disappearing in a flash.

Metal stood there, staring where Heechul once stood, before blasting off back to the laboratory.
