Something that sounded like an explosion resonated in the air around them. The ground shook slightly, as if it had chuckled lightly. People began murmuring something about terrorists with fear in their eyes while others began talking about Eggman.
"Did you hear that?"
Shadow gave Sonic a tired look. "No." Sonic made a face at his shady counterpart.
"Are you sure? I know I heard something," Sonic muttered. Shadow walked beside him, shrugging it off. The two of them had been bored and had gone for a walk, something surprising for the two of them to do. Ever since Amy returned with Scourge, everything had been laid back and chill.
"Yes I am sure and whatever it was, it's gone now," Shadow said, yawning while his hands clutched his barely visible belly.
Sonic glared at him. He was mad at Shadow. He had ordered every chili dog from his favorite stand and devoured them. And he didn't get a single taste. Shadow had looked a bit green afterwards, not being used to having consumed so much chili. Sonic called it karma. Shadow called him an ass.
They kept walking in silence, the sound hung in the back of their minds. Maybe they should-
"Guys! It's Amy and Scourge!" Silver yelled as he ran past them. Both hedgehogs sent each other a shocked look before running after the white blur. When they arrived at the park, a few trees were toppled over, Scourge was groaning a few feet away from one trying to get up and Amy was no where to be seen.
"Scourge! Where's Amy!" The emerald hedgehog lifted a bloody hand towards the tree he was laying in front of.
Silver ran towards Scourge, healing him a bit. "Silver, shouldn't you be lifting the tree up with your psychokenisis?"
Scourge shoved Silver's hands off of his persona and pointed at the tree. "Remove it, now. I can't afford losing Amy too!" His green eyes were red with anger. What had happened?
Silver did as he was told, the tree covered in a blue aura. Slowly but surely, the tree began to rise. Shadow's crimson eyes widened. Rose?! There she was, laying unconscious on the ground, blood everywhere. Her axe was next to her, shoved a bit into the ground.
Closely studying the bark it could be seen there was an indentation where her axe had been. It was what had prevented the tree from crushing her.
"Amy!"
All four hedgehogs ran to the pink colored hedgehog. She didn't respond to any cry. Scrounge ran and plopped unceremoniously next to her still form. Tears rimmed his eyes, his beaten and bloody hands softly touching her cheeks.
"Oh sister... please, don't leave me... you can't, not you too." Scourge lifted Amy's head and settled her into his lap, where he cradled her.
The other three hedgehogs gave each other concerned looks. They needed to get the two siblings to a hospital - and fast. Amy looked like she didn't have much time left, and Scourge liked like he was about to pass out due to blood loss. "Chaos control us there?"
"No need to tell me twice faker," Shadow growled, his crimson eyes finding the wilted rose in Scourge's lap. Taking his emerald, he shouted,"Chaos control!" And with a flash of light, all five hedgehogs were gone.

Amy's P.O.V.
My head was throbbing, and I felt lightheaded. I couldn't seem to open my eyes, maybe I had died? I tried sitting up but only groaned in pain as a sharp blinding stab traveled through my body. I touched my eyes, realizing they were bandaged. Just as I was about to rip them off, a hand gripped my wrist with a vice like grip.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you."
My voice turned in the direction of the voice. "Why not? I want to see. This feeling of blindness is so... Uncool."
I heard the person sigh in exasperation. Irritation was rising in me. Why couldn't I see? Why were there bandages on my eyes? As I kept on thinking a certain green hedgehog popped into my mind.
"Scourge!" I exclaimed, looking where the voice had come from. "Is he okay?" He had pissed me off before but he was still my brother and I cared for him.
"He's resting in a different room. You've been out for three days, he's knocked out for one. He was so worried for you, Amy."
I sighed in relief. I wouldn't know what to do without him. Even if I had been a coward and the memories had been too much at one point, he had still been there for me. "What happened? Like, what caused the two of you to be in this state?"
I sighed and leaned forward, burying my head into my hands. It hurt to remember, but I could do so clearly, thankfully. "Scourge was pissing me off, saying that a day at a park wasn't meant for relaxation, I was slacking off and being a..." I paused trying to remember what I had been called. "...a sissipriss? Anyways. I was going to show him I wasn't."
The person chuckled. "Well that's obvious, you've got a mean arm and you're accurate with your throws." I blushed and ignored the butterflies in my stomach.
"Anywho, I was about to show him up when a cackle interrupted us. Guess who it was?" I scowled.
"Eggman."
I nodded. "Bingo. He said something about us having chaos powers, that he wanted to extract them. We however retaliated and denied such things. I mean, come on, Scourge and I having chaos powers? How silly is that?" I laughed, however my mystery person stayed silent. I cleared my throat and continued.
"He sent his robot minions to fight us. It was basically a hundred versus two, we were badly out numbered and there was no way of contacting you guys. Scourge and I were separated while we fought, he was in a worse condition than I was because he didn't have anything other than his own extremities to defend himself. I had my axe, and on the other hand didn't turn out as injured." I paused and took a huge breath. Just telling this story was leaving me breathless.
"We continued to fight, and soon I noticed I was the only one standing from our two man party. Robots had gotten on top of Scourge and well, I threw my axe his way, knocking most of the robots out of the way. However in that moment of distraction, few robots managed to get me and injure me a bit more. And in those fleeting moments there was an explosion. I looked towards it and my vision was distorted from the blast. My axe reappeared next to me and cushioned part of the tree falling onto me before I blacked out but I guess it still managed to get in some critical damage."
"I see." Those two words were enough to tell me that the person was furious. "I'm sorry we couldn't have been there. If we had only been there a few moments earlier then maybe you and Scourge wouldn't be here in this place."
I reached out blindly to the person until I felt their hand. I intertwined my fingers with them. "Hey, it's alright, don't worry. It wasn't your guys' fault. Stupid Egg-head is the one to blame. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time I've gotten hurt like this."
The person sighed. "Are you sure?"
I nodded and smiled at them. "Yes."
Soon a comfortable silence settled between us. The sterilized smell of the hospital made me want to cringe. I don't think I'd ever be used to this type of aura. Birds were singing outside in the presumably bright day, somewhere I longed to be myself.
"Hey... Did you have a sister?" I looked at the source of voice. Well, faced rather than looked. I was surprised to hear them start a conversation about someone in my family.
"I did. Her name was Rosy. She was older than Scourge and me. Rosy was something out of this world, one of the best soccer players I had seen too. Scourge said she had left after I had, however so I don't know how she's doing. Why? Did she come? Is she here?"
There was shuffling and the person sat on my bed, my hands in their own. "Amy...Scourge was muttering something about your sister in his sleep. Amy... I'm afraid Rosy might be dead..."
