Amy grunted as she punched her brother. Scourge leaned back and swung out his left leg toward her shins. They were training, their fur and skin soaked in sweat. It had been two hours already since they had started to train. Three months of training and Amy felt that she could use some more. She was finally becoming someone good. Someone who could, well, kick ass.

"Don't you think its time that you go tell your so called friends that you're here?" Scourge shouted as they sparred.

"Nah, all I was good at was being a nuisance. Why would I tell them I am back? Bet they didn't even notice I was gone in the first place." Amy responded, completely stopping. Deep down however, her heart twisted awfully.

"Oh?" Scourge asked, stopping as well, raising a brow. She stared at his eyes, unable to look away. Scourge could see how vulnerable she felt on the inside. How broken she was.

"All I did was mess around with my piko piko hammer and chase after Sonic. I should have been a better person. With skill. With something of worth."

"You're worth something and much more Rosie. You just haven't seen it in yourself yet. Before and now. But hey, now you got your Axe!"

"Yeah, and I love it so much," Amy replied, one of the corners of her lips turning upward.

Then, they heard a thud. "Did you lock the door?" Amy asked, raising her brow herself.

"I...think?" Answered the green hedgehog, shrugging. Amy groaned and rolled her eyes at how careless her brother would be at times.

"Let's go see then."

"The lights are on. Most certainly, if the fire is going, then someone is in the house."

"But who? Silver said he saw a male green hedgehog come into the house," Sally inquired.

"The green hedgehog himself, it couldn't have been Casper," Blaze said, stepping into the living room. She put her hands near the chimney,"Who else thinks it's freezing out there?" Everyone stared at her incredulously. Someone who could throw fire balls from her fists was cold.

"Who's there?!" A yell echoed through the house, snapping them back to attention.

Everyone got into fighting stances. The team didn't know what to expect. Yet they did know at the same time. All they expected was a male hedgehog, thanks to Silver's imput. But it was confusing when they had heard a female voice instead of a male.

"Are you sure the hedgehog you saw was a dude, because that certainly sounded like a dudette!" Tails shrieked.

Silver nodded. "I'm positive."

Soon after, a green hedgehog did step out of the shadows, his ice blue eyes shining with the fire. "Who are you and how did you come in?" He asked. He was all sweaty and angry.

"We're the ones that should be asking who you are, man," Sonic retorted, slowly walking over to the green hedgehog. Scourge did not move a bit, he just watched the blue hero stalk towards him.

"More like I should be the one asking why in the devil's name is everyone here in my house?" A voice echoed through the halls. A voice so soft, yet powerful. A voice they hadn't heard in a long time.

A Rose hedgehog dropped down in front of us, between the green hedgehog and the group, right in front of Sonic. She jumped up and kicked out both of her legs, hitting Sonic on the dead center of his chest. Said hedgehog went flying back to the group, and everyone could hear his breath escape his body in a whoosh.

She landed and tumbled a little bit, Scourge steadying her. Her quills were long now, as were her bangs. She no longer sported a bright red dress and boots. She was wearing a white crop top, black joggers that were tightly adjusted to her waist, and some combat boots adorned her feet. Her fur was glistening with sweat. Amy no longer looked like the innocent twenty-one year old she used to be.

She was a complete bad ass now.

"Amy?"

Rose...?

She lifted her head, to reveal her eyes. They were dancing between two colors - ice blue and jade.

"Again, I ask, why are you all in my house?" She asked. There was no sort of emotion on her face. Her eyes sent daggers at the group.

"What the hell is he doing here?!" Sonic yelled, pointing an accusatory finger at Scourge.

Sally's eyes widened and she bonked his head with her fist. "Sonic, don't be stupid." Was all she said.

Unfortunately for Sonic, that was hard for him to do.
