41. The Wedding

A few more months had soon passed by and I was now slipping into a dress I never thought I'd see.

My mother's wedding dress.

Lace straps with floral design, and a beautiful silk-laced trail to follow. I curled my hair and left it down as I sat on the chair, trying to slip on my heels.

I had promised Draco no boots and so here I was, struggling with heels.

"Pansy, I need some help."

Pansy turned around in her champagne dress and laughed as she helped me put on the heels.

Soon enough, it was time.

Pansy, Hermione, Ginny, and Luna were all wearing champagne bridesmaid dresses and for Esmeree, she wore a white dress to match mine.

I turned to her and placed a white flower crown on her head as she smiled, "You look stunning."

"As do you, Ez. You all do."

They all smiled and nodded, heading out of the hall one by one. We had held the wedding here at Grindelwald Manor, I had taken off the barrier allowing it to be seen to everyone.

We had many guests and I held in my breath as the girls soon walked in one by one before they closed the door behind them, leaving me waiting on the other side.

I took a deep breath and shook my head, the nerves were getting to me.

"Scarlett..."

I turned to see Lucius, smiling as he looked over me, "I never thought I'd see the day where you marry my son. You look beautiful, my dear."

I chuckled and nodded, "Thank you. I only wish my parents and uncle were here to see it."

He shook his head and walked over to me, placing his hand on my shoulder, "They are. They always were, and they will always be with you."

"I know."

He gave me a smile before holding out his arm, "Shall we?"

I nodded and took a deep breath before slipping my arm around his.

I waited for the music to start and once it did, the doors were open to reveal the beautiful lawn with all the guests.

I was ready.
