I gave Hermione a smile before I walked towards her and Harry sitting between them, "Thanks, Hermione. Anyways, what about Grindelwald?"
Harry raised an eyebrow as if questioning me as Hermione smiled from being called her given name. He then shook his head and looked down at the book he was holding before meeting my eyes again, "He- I saw him taking something from Gregoravitch's wand shop."
"Oh, right. When my uncle was younger, he umm... he stole the Elder Wand from that shop. That was part of my uncle's success, but then Dumbledore was given the wand by the woman who arrested my uncle before shipping him off to New York. Dolores Umbridge. But yeah, that's basically it, I think you just saw a past event."
"Alright then. Wait, speaking of my wand. Hermione where is it?" He turned to her and immediately her smile dropped.
"Where's my wand, Hermione?"
She moved from her spot just enough to lift the blanket she was sitting on, revealing a snapped wand, "As we were leaving Godric's Hollow, I cast a curse and it rebounded. I'm sorry. I tried to mend it but wands are different."
"It's done. Can one of you leave me yours?"
I shook my head as I looked to Hermione before she sighed, "Take mine."
"Right. Both of you go inside and get warm. Oh, and I'll take the locket as well."
Hermione nodded and handed him the locket and her wand as I stood up and walked towards the tent, soon followed by Hermione.
"So, Scarlett?"
I gave her a hum of an acknowledgment as I settled back into my bed before turning to her.
"Well, it's just you called me by my first name. I was wondering if you were okay..."
I sat up straight and tilted my head, "Let's see, my power coursing through my veins, check. Wand in my boot, check. Control over magic, check. Oh, been on the run with you and Harry for a few months, check. Why does it matter?"
"I don't know, I just- you always call me Granger."
"Do you prefer I call you that, or maybe something else? You're still a no-mag heir but I guess other than my cousin and Esmeree you're the only other girl I've seen. Oh and here, I have a makeshift wand you can use."
I dug into my bag and pulled out the extra wands I had given power to, handing one to her.
She smiled and took it before sitting at the table, "I'm not going to ask any more questions, but, just know that coming from the purest in all the Wizarding World, it means a lot. So, thank you."
"Mhm. Now, if you don't mind I'm going to take a nap. Just wake me up when we have to move again." She nodded and turned to her book as I laid back into the bed turning onto my side.
All that was running through my mind was what Draco had said, about me being his future. What he said about our future. I'd love to have a family with him, and to go to those Sunday picnics, watching my family beat Fred and George's kids in quidditch.
For once, the thought of the future brought a genuine smile across my lips. I closed my eyes and imagined the younger kids running through the yard as I taught the oldest a few new spells, while Draco played with Everett as he hummed to our favorite song.
Then my eyes broke open to the voices heard from outside the tent.
"You complete arse, Ronald Weasley!"
I sat up and noticed Hermione's things still at the table but I heard her from outside. I stood and slowly walked out, only to see Hermione throw a bag at what appeared to be Ron.

She scoffed and dropped the bag she was holding, "You show up after weeks, and all you say is hey?!"
Soon enough she swiftly turned towards Harry who was standing behind her. She started charging towards him, fuming as he only backed away quickly, "Where's my wand? Where's my wand, Harry? Where is it? Harry Potter, you give me my wand!"
"I don't know. Hermione, I don't have it!" Harry backed into a tree as he very visibly tucked her wand away.
Ron, however, cocked his head as I tried to motion for him to stay quiet, being ignored, "How come he's got your wand?"
Hermione turned and stood facing him, "Never mind why he's got my wand. Wait, what is that?"
Ron lifted his hand up, holding a broken locket as Hermione grew confused, "You destroyed it? And how is it that you just happened to have the Sword of Gryffindor?"
I looked past the tree in front of me and saw that in his other hand, he held the sword.
"It's a long story," Harry chimed in as Hermione shook her head in disbelief.
"Don't think this changes anything."
"No, of course not. I only just destroyed a bloody Horcrux! Why would that change anything? Look, I wanted to come back as soon as I left, I just didn't know how to find you."
I crossed my arms and shook my head, "That's why you either had to stay with me or Hermione unless of course, you just want me to link us all. But I don't really fancy that, so maybe next time, I don't know. Don't. Leave."
Ron nodded but Harry stepped in front of Hermione, "Wait, how did you find us?"
I rolled my eyes and walked back into the tent, not wanting to hear another story. I went into the tent and sat in my bed once more as I waited for the Trio to finish with their dramatics.
