"NOW!"

The instant we landed on the other side of the crowd, we still couldn't escape. We were surrounded and people starting grabbing me, as Hermione only just barely escaped.

I looked around for a sight of her and saw her on the roof of a nearby building.

She started panicking but I motioned for her to stay as I was being grabbed from every side.

I was growing angry and some people backed off when they saw my eyes, seeing as they must've flashed red. But many others weren't giving up.

They put some type of metal shackle on my arms and I wasn't able to grab my wand let alone access my magic.

I was beginning to panic and started fighting back but there were too many people. They tied me up and soon I was on display. As if being back in the past they started building up the wood around me, as I was tied to a pole.

I couldn't move. I couldn't think.

There was too much noise, I couldn't concentrate.

So I stopped. I stopped fighting the ropes and the chains. I didn't know how I ended up here, but then I saw him. The man from before, he was standing just off to the side, smirking and smiling with cynical joy.

The sun was beginning to set as the clouds were no longer in the sky.

The crowd around me, soon starting yelling and throwing objects at me. They started spitting and calling me names. But I could tell, they had to be scared.

The man then picked up a stick and set it aflame. He smirked as he met my eyes but I only stayed still. I made no movement as he walked towards me.

Silence fell into the street, and then it was just me as I blocked everyone out. He stood before me and cocked his head, "Any last words?"

I started laughing and he looked at me confused, as I only laughed, "Will we die, just a little."

He scoffed and threw the fire into the pile as the wood below me started to burn.

"WITCH!" "HEATHEN!" "BURN HER!"

I watched in amusement as they began to light the pile even more. The flames were starting to climb as they tickled my feet bringing a familiar warmth. I stayed completely still and then within an instant, smoke started to fill the street.

But the smoke wasn't from the fire, I closed my eyes and focused. Opening my eyes, once more I looked up to where Hermione stood as she met my eyes even more worried than she was before.

The fire was coming closer and the light was illuminating the area but the fog and smoke made it impossible to see two feet in front of you. I focused and as the yelling only grew,

Pulling on the source of my magic, I tried to free it from the suppression. I threw my head down and could feel the magic stirring inside of me.
