42. Ceremonies And Tears

Opening the doors, revealed the beautiful lawn filled with many guests. Everything was decorated beautifully and elegantly.

I smiled as everyone had stood and turned to me.

Hearing a throat clearing, I chuckled as did Lucius before he nodded and passed me over to Esmeree.

Walking across the grass, I looked down the aisle, seeing him at the end.

He smiled as he met my eyes, tears just brimming at the edges of his.

However, almost tripping, I laughed and shook my head, "I'm sorry Draco, I'm taking these off."

I bent down and took off the heels as Esmeree followed suit and now we were both barefoot.

Laughter filled the air before everyone did the same as Esmeree gave me her hand to grab as we both started walking once more.

My breath hitched as held his gaze before I walked past the Weasleys. I reached out my hand as George gave me a gentle squeeze and a soft smile.

Continuing on, I listened as Pansy sang the song I used to sing all those years ago.

She smiled as I then gave Bellatrix a smile, passing her as she stood with Teddy. She always wanted a family of her own and now she had one. Tonks and Remus's child was given a home with someone who learned to love him very quickly.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding when I walked past Narcissa and Lucius who were both holding a twin.

Aleira Lei Malfoy and Hunter Gellert Malfoy.

I loved them and I was now fighting tears as I watched them smile before I turned back to Draco. Handing the flowers to Esmeree, she gave me a hug before taking her place beside Luna and Hermione as Pansy sang the last few lines of the song.

I looked around the room before I let out a small and surprising gasp seeing, everyone...

My uncle and Lei stood not too far from us as my parents stood beside that of the Malfoy's, holding back tears. I turned to see Severus and Bella give me a smile as I then saw Fred standing with a huge smile just beside George. And even further back, I saw Sirius, Remus, Tonks, and even Nagini in her human form.

They were all only fragments of a past image but they were there.

Just barely holding it together now, I walked up onto the ledge as I faced Draco as he gave me a worried look, "Is everything okay?"

I nodded and smiled, "They- they're all here."

He gave me a smile before I looked him up and down. He was dashing and wore a suit very well. Everyone soon sat down as the song ended before we turned to the Minister.

He smiled and then nodded, "Welcome, witches and wizards to this very beautiful service. Today we join two hearts and create one."

The entire time as he spoke words of wisdom, neither of us could remove our eyes from each other, until it was time.

"Scar, I- I can't believe that this day is finally here."

I chuckled as Draco spoke softly, "I promise you my life and that whenever you need me, I'll be there. I will always be there for you. Besides, who's gonna show our kids how to beat the Weasleys at quidditch."

I laughed as George and Ginny stood up and shook their heads along with Fred's form, "YOU WISH!"

There was even more laughter before the Minister turned to Draco, "Do you Draco Lucius Malfoy, take Scarlett to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

He smiled and nodded, "Always."'

I took a deep breath before meeting his eyes, "I have known you forever, and since we first met, I have always loved you. We've been through basically everything. From the Yule Ball to the Tournament and even so with certain professors and learning to trust each other. From sitting by my bed as I was in a stance of sleep to humbling me enough to love others. I can't thank you enough. And though the last few years have been rough, Draco, you are my future."

We both were grinning from ear to ear as the Minister then turned to me, "Scarlett Hope Grindelwald, do you take Draco to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

I looked from him to Draco and tilted my head, smiling as we both had tears threatening to fall.

"Always."
