I woke up. The sun was shining. The air smelt fresh. This was a new day. With my shoes on, I jogged down stairs and found that Mitch was still asleep. So was Jonathan.
"Poor Jonathan. Brianna must have kicked him out" I giggled as I entered the kitchen.
I was awake earlier, so no one else was awake. I have planned to give the girls a break and cook breakfast by myself today. Grabbing a sauce-pan and placing it on the stove, I began. I put blueberries and strawberries in. I squirt some lemon juice in and chucked in 1/2 a cup of caster sugar. To be honest, I am highly surprised that they seem to have all the ingredients we need to cook things. Before I can turn the stove on, I need to collect the things I am going to need for the dough. I go outside to the chickens. The farmer had agreed with me last night to milk the cows, so the milk is already inside. He had some flour as well, so that's not a problem.
|Time lapse- 50 mins|
With the dough baked and the coulee ready I let them cool while I set the table. I already pre-picked some flowers. I sit them inside the vase and set up the plates and utensils. When the table is set and the dough and coulee is cooled down, I begin to prepare the dishes. One elongated oval-shaped slice of dough is placed on the side of the plate. I pour the coulee over the bread/dough. The dishes smell beautiful and the place is set up nice. I take one last look at everything to make sure nothing is missing or wrong before I go to wake everyone up. The only reason I'm doing this is to take everyone's mind off of the apocalypse. Which I am sure they'd appreciate.
"Wake up love birds" I sing out to Emma and Kyle.
They moan and get up quickly when they smell what I have prepared for them.
When I reach Shayla and Coen's room my belly grumbles, telling me I'm hungry. In my head I tell it to shut-up, even though I know that won't stop it. Plus it's weird to talk to your stomach. I push the door open slowly. Do my eyes deceive me or are Shayla and Coen actually naked?! I quickly turn my head and call to them to come down stairs. They must be embarrassed because I hear them shuffling around, probably looking for clothes. The door creaks as I shut it. My footsteps can be heard as I approach Matt.
"Morning babe" I smile
"Ugh. No" he groans at the fact that he has to wake up.As he rolls over I see his abs and his 'V'. He slept in his boxers.
"Why do we have to wake up so early?" he complains
I lean in and kiss him. His hands cup my head and he pulls me in closer. Because of the pain this position causes, I move to sit on top of him. His hands move down my back, resting just above my butt. I let go of his lips, and even though I want more, I know we have to get down stairs before people start coming up with reasons as to why we aren't down stairs with the rest of them.
"Come on, sleeping beauty. Time to get up" I tease as I climb off of the bed and strut over to the door.
Doing as he's told, he gets out of bed, though he still refuses to put a top on.
When we get down stairs, I notice everyone had waited to eat until we got there. I feel bad that they were waiting for us to come down and we were making out. I awkwardly smile as I take my seat. My eyes follow Matt as he sits down. I notice Brianna staring at him. Seeing as I am sitting next to her, I kick her. She winks, being a smartass before turning to the reason she's in a happy mood. Kian.
Short chapter, I know, but I am going to update tomorrow as a possible continue on from where we left off. See yah!
