"Out to work on the van again?"
"Yeah" Matt replies with a huff
"How more longer do you think it will take before the van is fixed?"
"I don't know. Maybe two or more days"
"Oh"
"Why do you want to get out of here so quickly?"
"I don't. I just don't want to over stay our welcome"
"You really think they would get annoyed with us being here too long?"
"I'm not sure. I mean, it could get lonely, but maybe they like lonely"
"Hmm"
"Any suggestions for breakfast?"
"Maybe we should ask the rest of them"
"Yeah, probably"

We both walk down stairs. Kyle is putting on his left shoe and tying up the laces. The eldest farm boy is doing up his flannelette top. He actually has abs. I suppose you would if you were working on a farm. I notice Brianna, who is sitting at the table, staring at him. I smile and shake my head.

"So what do you's want for breakfast?"
Callan shrugs his shoulders.
"What is there?" Emma asks quietly, trying not to sound rude.
"We have the ingredients to make Porridge, Pancakes-" The farmer was cut off by the agreement of Pancakes.
"Okay, we'll make Pancakes" I smile

The boys walk out side. Kyle is hopping on one foot, still trying to put his other shoe on. He must have forgot about it when we were talking and only remembered when the other boys started walking.

"Ok, girls. Let's get cooking"
"Do you know how to make pancakes from scratch?" Jackie gives me a concerned look
"He gave me a recipe. He must have wrote it before all this"
"Oh ok"

Emma cracks the egg and it drops inside the bowl. Jackie pours the milk in and it goes everywhere.

"Jackie!"
She just starts laughing.
"This is why you don't trust me cooking!"
"I will keep that in mind. Nah, you're right, just be careful and watch what you're doing. You have to remember this isn't our kitchen and I am pretty sure the farmers ain't gonna like milk all through their kitchen"
"Yeah, okay"

|time lapse- 31 minutes later|

"Can you please get the strawberries?"
"Here you go" Brianna hands me the punnet of strawberries
"Thanks. You take some and put one on each plate"
"Yup"
"What can I do?" Emma asks impatiently
"Here. Pour some of this over the pancakes"
"Yay"
"You're like a kid"
She just giggles.

After about 10 minutes the dishes are finished and ready to be eaten.

"Hey, Jackie. Go call the boys in"
She strides over to the back door and takes in a deep breath. Oh God.

"HEY ALL YOU JACKASSES, BREAKFAST IS SERVED!" She screams out to them
"I suggest you apologise to the farmers. They are letting us stay here after all"
"Oh crap!" taking in another deep breath, she yells out to the farmers "SORRY! YOU'S AREN'T THE JACKASSES!"
I clap my hands together and she bows.
"Great job" I laugh
"Why, Thank you kind Sir" she smirks
"You're a real smartass, you know that?"
"But of coarse" Again with the smirking.

The boys come inside and take their seats. I actually don't mind being like a maid. We get to cook and we don't even have to clean. Except for making our beds, but that's it.

"Mmm. Looks good"
Jackie smiles at this comment, obviously remembering the spilt milk. I just roll my eyes.

Definitely to be continued...
