So this is Pt 2 of Chapter 33. All I can say about this chapter is Caitlyn and Matt get back on track with their love life until something ruins the moment. A stupid mistake and an angry character. Incase no one has been checking my profile or anything, I would like to announce the fact that there will be another book to this. There will actually be two more books. I've decided to make this book a trilogy seeing as it works so well with what I have planned. I have a lot of things planned out for book 2 and I'm so excited. Please, when you finish book 1, make sure to read book 2 as well. There is no point in stopping now + plus there is a giant shock at the end of book 1 that is going to make you want to read book 2. Anyways, continue on to reading. Enjoy...

Pt 2-

I felt uneasy. We were about to enter another town. That's probably why I felt sick. Another town. The memories come flooding back. Kyle. Zombies... I don't think I'll ever forget, nor will I ever forgive myself for letting it happen.

"It could have been you" Matt says, as if reading my thoughts.

"Huh?" I reply

"It could have been you who died. They could have gotten you" he explained

"I know. I just can't shake off the feeling of guilt"

"It wasn't your fault. You got us out" he pointed to the rest of the group.

"Yes, but I didn't save him. I could have done more. I could have got him out of there faster. I could've"

"No. You did all you could. You saved more than one. We all could have died in there. You got us out. Kyle locked himself in. He died a hero. If he had've ran out the zombies would have too. He saved us. You saved us. You let him be a hero"

"I don't want anyone to be a hero. I want everyone alive. I don't want this lump of guilt on my shoulders. I don't want to have two devils on my shoulders torturing me with the names of people I let die. I don't want this"

"Caitlyn! It wasn't you!" Matt shouted. Everyone who wasn't already listening turned to us in surprise. I gulped and turned in embarrassment.

The town of Greene Vine stood before us. The buildings were very different from Phoenix. Whereas Phoenix's buildings were grey, Greene Vine's were a creamy brown colour. Where Phoenix's buildings were mainly glass, Greene Vine's were concrete or sandstone.

The buildings had vines hanging down the sides. The town was like a big clump of clay with green and cream colours splattered everywhere. It was pretty. I drove forward and into the town. In the centre there was a giant fountain with an angel playing a flute. The deeper into the town I got, the less sand and concrete there was to be seen. On this side of town most buildings were wooden or made out of bricks. Up ahead lied a bell tower. You could see part of the bell through a hole, but not all of it. The building beside it was bricked, the windows were sealed and the door was scratched. Even so, it still looked sturdy.

I stopped right outside it and hopped out. Examining the shape of it I decided it was safe. I tapped the door of the van three times, signalling for Brianna and the rest to get out. I walked up to the vehicle behind us.

"Hey Cal, this looks good. We can hold up here for a few days to regain strength and stability" I inform him.

"Ok, but not for too long. I spotted a few lurkers down a block" he notified me

"Since when did we call them lurkers?"

"Since now. It's easier and quicker to say than zombies"

"I suppose. Alright, get everyone inside along with supplies. I'll go find a way in"

He nodded and drove the car next to the van. I turned on my heels and jogged to the front door. Locked. I held my head up to the door and listened for any sign of life (or death) inside. Nothing. I did the same to the back entrance. Also nothing.
