It's actually the day we leave. We leave this comfy bed. Warm room. Silk sheets. Exquisite food. *sigh* I'm really gonna miss this place. Mine and Matt's bags are packed, so I'm going to go check on the rest of the group.
As I trudge along the hall to the other rooms, a sudden joy sweeps across my face. We are going to be alright. This isn't all that bad. I guess I'm just going to miss the safety of the farm.
"Shayla. Coen. Are you's almost done packing?"
"Yeah, we just need to finish up a little"
"Alright"
Next is Jackie and Callan.
"You guys nearly done?"
"We are done. We're just sitting here. It's kinda the last time we'll be here"
"Yeah, okay. Just come down when I call out, ok?"
"Ok"
I hear Kian and Brianna talking about Phoenix..
"Hey, you guys done?"
"Do we have to leave now?!"
"No, but we will be soon, so I just wanted to know"
"We're done, but we don't want to go just yet"
"I understand. I wish we weren't going at all, but we have to"
Brianna just nods.
"I'll call out when it's time to go"
"Yep"
Emma and Kyle.
"We're going soon, so how's that packing coming along?"
"We're done. We're just going to sit here until it's time to go"
"Alright, just come down when I call out"
"Yup"
Now to go down stairs and see how Jonathan and Mitch are going.
"Hey guys"
"Hey, we're nearly done" Jonathan notifies me
"Okay, we'll, we're leaving soon, so make sure you've got everything"
"Yeah, okay"
I have to make soup for breakfast, because it is good for you and we can put it in a container to save it for tonight or tomorrow morning. When I get into the kitchen, I feel depressed. I still can't believe we have to go. Oh we'll. I better get started. I grab the stock out of the cupboard and pour it into the pot. I dice the carrots, zucchini, celery and leek. A peice of carrot flings into the air and lands on the ground. It slides under the fridge. I'm pretty sure they're not going to have time to clean their fridge in the zombie apocalypse so it can stay there.
~Callan's POV~
Why do I like her? She has never showed any feelings to anyone, so why does it feel like she likes me? I hate being in this position. I just wish I knew who it was that she liked...
~Brianna's POV~
"-shop"
"Yeah, but what would we get there?" I enquire
"Food, supplies, batteries for the torches, weapons maybe- I don't know"
"We have a lot of knives already already. What we need is more bullets"
"Yeah! We don't have many bullets left. That's what we need. We should notify Caitlyn"
"Yeah, let's do that now"
We jog down stairs. A whiff of this delicious smell wavers up the stairs.
"Mmm. What are you cooking?" I ask, my mouth watering.
"Just soup. It lasts longer and it is good for us. It can get cold out there and we can't afford anyone getting sick" she answers
"Yeah"
"Grab the stock and vegetables"
"What for?"
"We're taking them"
"Haha yeah!"
"But they were nice and let us stay here and eat there food. It would be wrong to take it" Kian is wearing a worried look on his face
"It's survival, Kian. We need that food" Caitlyn argues
"I know. Let's just take it then" he gives in.
"Alright"
