Chapter 2: on the road again

"Hey, wake up! wake up!" Yells brianna

"Huh? wha-" I stare in ore as I see a few zombies clawing and biting at a corpse lying on the ground. "Ewww"

"We've gotta go before that becomes us!" she exclaims

"Right, lets pack up and head off" I inform her

"If it comes to the point where we have to leave something behind, it'll be YOUR sleeping bag" at first I thought she was being a smart ass, then I saw her face. she was serious.

"Thanks?!" I reply to her sarcastically

"Alright, we'll I've packed my stuff, what about you" she asks

"Done" I assure her "now let's head out"

"Yep"

.30 minutes later.

"Where are we going?" she asks

"We're heading to Silvercross" I tell her

"Oh, okay. how long do you think it will take us?" she questions

I don't reply.

"Hello?" she waves her hand I front of my face.

"Look" I point to an area populated by trees

"Wha- holy shit!" She curses in excitement and disbelief "no way! Do you know how to start it?"

"With a key" I reply smartly with a smirk

"Don't be a smart ass. seriously!" she replies a bit angrily

"It's called hot-wirering" I inform the seemingly dumbfounded girl

"Right! so you know how to?"

"Do you watch movies?"

"Oh yeah. do you need anything?"

"I should be fine"

"Okay, what should I do?"

"Check for anything helpful in and around the car"

"Okay"

"This should be fun" I murmur

.About 10 minutes later.

"Hey I found something!" brianna shouts

"That's good but could you keep it down"

"Whoops. come here"

I walk up to her.

"What is it?"

"A few tools, chips, petrol and a jump starter"

"How convenient"

"Isn't that good?"

"Yeah, it's just in a zombie apocalypse in a movie, you don't normally get this lucky, and if you do, something goes wrong"

"Well dont jinx us!"

"Sorry" I say a bit offended by the seriousness in her voice

"Did you get the car stared?"

"You would of heard it if I did"

"True"

"I'm gonna go and try some more at getting this started"

"Okay"

I walk back over to my last position.

"Hurry up and wor-ahhhh!"

"What?! what?! what is it?!"

"Nothing, it just scared me"

"Oh my god! did you just do what I think you did?!"

"Pack our stuff In the back seat"

"Holy shit, yes!"

"Hurry up before they come and ruin the chance we had of getting out of here in that thing"

"Alright alright, can you get the car moved to make sure it works while I stuff the back seat with this shit"

"Aha sure"

"This is great!"

"We sure are lucky"

"Are we keeping this car or are we just using it to get to Silvercross?"

"I don't know yet. we'll find out when we get there...if we get there"

"We will Caitlyn. we will"

"I sure hope so"
