"Oh shit!" Coen breathed as they both stared at the figure standing in front of them.
"You are supposed to be on watch! Not making out like nothing's going on!" I blurted out as I stared the both in the eye.
"We weren't making out, just...kissing" Coen pitched down to a whisper.
"Just kissing my ass!" I say in disbelief
"Hey, shut up! I have seen the way you and Matt look at each other. Next thing I know, I'll be walking around and run into YOU two kissing!" Shayla shouts
I just look at her. My heart stops as I hear the crunching of leaves behind me. I turn around expecting it to be a zombie ready to start chomping at my flesh, but to my surprise, it was actually Jonathan.
"Can you's keep it down?!" he whispers/shouts.
"Sorry, I forgot" I apologise for nearly getting us all killed.
"Coen, shayla, come on and get some sleep. It's Caitlyn's turn to take watch" he hurries everyone inside and that's that. The stars are shining so bright tonight.
"They're beautiful aren't they" Matt smiles at me and sits down.
"Yeah, they are" I can't help but look at his face. His face is what's beautiful. He puts his arm around mine and we just sit there and stare at the stars.
This is all going to be alright. We will survive.
