*Shelly's Dream/Flashback

I woke up in the middle of the night. I made my way to the bath room. Before I made it I passed the steps. I heard my father come in from the storm outside. I was about to come down to greet him when he started talking to my mother.

''I seen him again,'' My father said. ''Nina, I seen our son again.'' I stopped dead in my tracks and cocked my head to the conversation. I backed up slowly and laid at the top of the steps. I took in every word that he said and my mothers also.

''Titus,'' she started before my dad cut her off.

''I know my child when I see him him,'' he said coldly. He has my movements, you and Shelly's smile, your eyes, its him. Its got to be and tomorrow I'm going to talk to him,'' my father said panting a little.

''What if its not,'' my mother started.

''It will be,'' my father said in a confident voice. I could hear there footsteps coming towards the steps. I crawled back to my room and laid in my bed. I wondered if I really had a brother. What was his name, where did he come from, how old was he, would he play with me?? My mind flooded with questions. I seen my fathers shadows of his feet at my door. I quickly closed my eyes and laid there.

He walked in and sat on the edge of my bed. He ran his fingers threw the little hair he had and looked at me. He stroked my hair and my cheek softly like he usually does. But this time it made me feel uneasy. Something was wrong with the entire scene. I was going to pretend to wake up but something held me back. After about twenty minutes he gave me a kiss on the forehead and told me sorry. He walked out looking back one more time with his eyes teary. But nothing fell. No matter what the situation he never cried.

When he walked out I opened them feeling uneasy. A shiver went down my spine. ''-What did he mean sorry-'' I thought to myself. I continued to lay there and let my thoughts put me to sleep.

That morning when I woke up, I went down stairs. My fathers mug was there but he wasn't. ''Where's daddy,'' I asked in my eight year old voice.

''He went to work,'' My mother replied smiling. Her smile always reassured me. I smiled and ate my breakfast.

That afternoon, I waited for my dad for at least a half hour before I walked back home, alone. On my way home I accidentally bumped into a man. He was walking with another female.

''Watch were your going brat,'' The woman with the golden brown hair barked. I hurried away looking at her sparkly gun on the side of her. I didn't even want to look up at her. I just noticed her hair and was gone.

''Calm down Nia and come on,'' Diablo said as if he were annoyed.

''Damn kids need to watch what the do,'' Nia said turning away.

I walked for another block before I made it to my my house. I forgot that my dad usually had the keys with him and my mum don't get back until at least 9 o'clock. I set off a little sigh. It was fall but not exactly cold, so that was good. I walked down the street looking for something to do.  I ended up near the bakery. I've only been there once before and the owner already liked me.

I sat down at one of the tables and took out my books. I started to do my homework as time burned. One of the waitresses came out with a couple of danishes and some juice. She sat them down in front of me and looked at me.
