Me and Shay starred at the screen as the dot came closer. Diablo walked in the room And looked at the screen. His jaw dropped when he seen the name and the dot coming our way.
''Is that,'' he started but never finished. I nodded at the screen. He ran out the room and came back with Nia. We all starred at the screen for about ten minutes before we realized he was three miles out.
''Hows he going to get threw all that,'' Nia asked, still shocked that our father was on his way. We all gave an awkward shrug and ran to where Donovan had still been sniping. The war seemed to pick up more. It was a bloody mess and all we could do was watch. A mile out there was a giant black truck. It was like a swat car. It was black and seemed to be bullet proof from the bullets that's been hitting it. It was now running over anything in its path. It stopped just in front of the mansion. It stayed there for a good while as we all starred at it. The door opened and a man stepped out with a shotgun and a hat that seemed to cover his face. We could well see his grayish black hair and the gray in his beard..
''Dad,''Nia whispered.
The man got out and looked around. This wasn't the man I remembered. He seemed smaller more settle when we were together. Not carrying a shotgun with a dangerous cowboy look.
He walked up to the bottom of the mansion and looked up at us. He took off his hat.
''Anyone going to let me in,'' he called up to us. Eveyone looked at each other before Nero made the move. We all followed him down as he opened the door. Our father walked in and looked at all of us. This war was just getting creepier and creepier. He opened his arms for us and no one moved. My fingers slowly went up my leg to my hip where my gun was. It wasnt noticeable to anyone. I clenched a fist on it as the man approached.
I stepped back but Diablo and Nia stood forward. Up to this point he meant nothing to me. That feeling came out of no where when he plowed threw all those people. When he got close to Nia and Diablo I drew my gun on him.
''Stand back,'' I said moving forward. He looked at me and crouched down a little.
''Shelly,'' he called to me as if it was his first time ever saying my name. I seen his eye's well up but I stood my ground.
''Get back,'' I said again, this time more fierce. I was ready to kill this man as I knew once as dad before. He stood up and walked to me slowly. I shot the floor in front of him and he jumped back a little.
''What are you doing Shelly,'' Shay whispered to me out loud.
''I dont know,'' I said to myself, still looking at my father. Diablo and Nia seemed paralyzed. They hadn't made a move or a sound.
My father looked at Nia and Diablo. ''Ni Ni,'' he called out to Nia. I seen a tear roll down Nia's face for the first time since I knew her.
''Stand the fuck back,'' I repeated myself, moving fiercely closer to my ex father, causing him to move back a couple feet. ''What the hell do you want,'' I barked at him. No one did anything to stop me. If I were to had killed him only impact it would have would be on Nia and Diablo. They just watched the scene go down, a little in shock.
''I came back,'' he said in a shaky voice, throwing his shotgun down. A bullet pelted the wall near us and we all ducked. Donovan ran upstairs to see what had happened. He returned back to us faster.
''200+ moving our way,'' he yelled, picking up his sniper.
''We lost,'' Thilia asked shocked.
''Not yet,'' Luis said, grabbing his sniper and following Donovan up.
''Think this place will hold up,'' Grace said, picking up a giant rifle.
''I think there's a protection detail on one of the screens,'' Shay said tugging at me. ''Another time Shell's, another time.'' I nodded and went with her.
Maria snapped Diablo and Nia from there daze and armed them. ''Stay focused,'' She said nodding to them. They both nodded after taking one more glance from our dad.
I started on the screen looking at the layout of the building. ''Think we can bring the fight in here,'' I yelled as the screen lit up my face.
''Sounds good,'' Maria called to me. ''Smaller with better protection. We'll need someone to work the screens for extra help though." I nodded to Talana, who still seemed confused.
''Your up,'' I called grabbing her by the hand. I led her up the ramp into the room full of screens. ''Just keep us protected,'' I said working on them. I set up camera's and gave her a ear piece. ''Just tell us where they come from and use sentries when ever need, understand,'' In asked her going to the door and looking back.
''Understood,'' she said turning back to the screens and examining them.
I went back down the ramp and got back on my screen. I worked furiously once more making sure everyone had what they need. I felt someone over my shoulder. I spun around and kicked my father back. He fell back a little but kept his feet. I pointed my gun at him.
''I swear to god stay away from me,'' I said harshly. He gave me a sad look before backing away. Shay looked at me but said nothing.
''There coming in close,'' Donovan said in the ear piece. I looked around. The lay out of the place seemed to have changed a bit. I never notice the balcony's and things like that. There was lots of places to take cover and be well hidden.
''Shoot out in house,'' Shay called to us. ''This otta be good.''
I set up ammo crates behind everyone. They seemed to have picked spots and was ready to go. My father was still walking around looking dumb fouded with the shot gun he held. I shook my head and nodded to him. He looked at me instantly. I pointed to a spot for him to take cover at. I went back to the screen and got him some ammo for his post. He went willingly and got in cover.
I put a crate of ammo for me up on the balcony and climbed up a ladder. I looked at everyone to make sure they were ready.
''20 seconds before breach,'' Donovan called into the earpiece.
I pulled out the two sparkling green hand guns I had and aimed it at the door, ready for the giant fight to come.
*OK so I redeemed my writing status. Some things made absolutely no sense to me but in the end everything turned out OK. Thanks for reading this chapter and next one will be up soon.*
