Chapter 15: Confused feelings

Selena pulls Magnus away. She is confused about what to feel. Her feelings are mixed up that she cannot look straight into Magnus' eyes. Selena feels conscious especially they are both sealed in a cab of the Ferris wheel. She feels relieved when it starts going down. It would mean it is time to go home. As soon as they reach the bottom, Selena immediately goes out of the cab and rushes to the parking lot. Magnus is left alone but he then goes out as well and walks to the parking lot. He enters the car and sees that Selena is in the car, looking at the window. He looks at the driver, "Let's go home."

Silence is echoing inside the car throughout the whole trip. Selena is just looking at the window while Magnus glances at her every after 2 minutes. In Selena's thoughts, "This is awkward. What should I do now? Sigh. I do not know how to face him.". While Magnus' thoughts, "I should have done it. It will be more awkward between especially for her. Sigh. What were you thinking Magnus."

They arrive at the mansion and Selena instantly exits the car and goes upstairs. Magnus has followed and just looks at Selena going up the stairs, wanting to call her but did not do it. His grandmother approaches him with a smile, "Sooo... How did it go?". Magnus just looks at her and goes upstairs.

Miss Luna looks at her grandson with suspicion and curiosity but the lather is domineering. She wonders, "Hmmm... Maybe it did not go well as I hoped it would be.". She then goes back to the kitchen to prepare for dinner.

When dinner came, everyone is quiet and Miss Luna is just looking at Magnus and Selena suspiciously while eating. Miss Luna clears her throat and starts asking to break the silence. She looks at Selena, "Selena, darling, how was your day at the amusement park?".

Selena smiles at her and replies, "It was great and fun, Nana. It was my first time in an amusement park so the experience was thrilling.". Miss Luna smiles sweetly, "I am glad you had such a nice day.".

Miss Luna then looks at her grandson. "How about you, Magnus? It has been a long time since the last you went there.". Magnus did not answer and just keep on eating. Miss Luna just sighs and Selena is guessing that it is a very sensitive topic for Magnus.

When it is time for bed, since Selena had a shower already, she pretends to fall asleep fast. She assumes some kind of talk from Magnus and she is avoiding that. Selena is not sure about her feelings towards Magnus so until then, she is going to avoid and escape every situation involving clarification between the two of them.

Days passed, Selena's life is just the same - busy with her studies, avoiding Magnus, always responding "We are okay. We are just busy. Me in my studies and him in his business" to Nana, and last, spending hours thinking. Selena cannot stop thinking about Magnus. She sometimes thought, "That kiss should not have happened. Then everything would not have been complicated.".

It the Friday night. Selena goes again to the gazebo and sits on a swing chair. She starts to swing it using her own force. Being on the swing makes her recall her experience at the amusement park. Selena smiles at the thought of that especially the memory that involves a laughing Magnus. She stops swinging and starts shaking her head, "Stop thinking about that. Get it out of your head."

"Get it out what?". Selena is startled to see Magnus behind her. She even puts her hand on her chest because of shock. "Do not do that. Are you trying to kill from a heart attack?". Magnus laughs, "That is a bit exaggerated."

Selena rolls her eyes at him, "How long have you been in there?". Magnus acts like he is thinking that got Selena worried. Magnus sees her expression and laughs again, "'Just kidding. I just arrived.". Selena feels relieved but then got nervous. She is about to stand when Magnus holds her by the wrist." Please do not go just yet. I need to talk to you.".
