MIKASA'S POV
"I..." Y/n paused and looked at me, "I like you."

"W- What?" I felt my face heat up and turn bright red from Y/n's words. A warm feeling built up inside of me, it made me feel fuzzy and happy. The latter was an emotion I rarely ever felt.

D- Does he r- really? N- No. Think logically, Mikasa.

Y/N'S POV
Mikasa's always getting worried about me. I can't have her finding out what I saw. She wouldn't think the same of me. I should've thought of something better to say to her... I'm such an idiot...

"I like you." I reluctantly repeated myself as Mikasa's face turned an even brighter red. She covered her face with her scarf, but it didn't do much to help, the red on her face was still visible.

"Y- You d- do?" Mikasa's eyes widened even more than before.

"Yeah... I- I like you... As one of my best friends." I hesitatingly stated, my voice shaking a bit from the thought of her just always being a friend and nothing more.

"O- Oh... You're... You're an amazing friend... Too." Mikasa stammered and mumbled, barely being able to be heard.

"W- We should probably go to sleep, it's pretty late" I said, standing up and walking towards the door,  "You should probably get going. I'll get the door for y-" Reaching for the doorknob, I suddenly lost my balance and fell to the floor. Feeling my head sting and ache, I tried to stand up, but I couldn't. It was like I was being held in place. The pain soon faded as my body relaxed itself. Finally having enough strength to lift my body, I stood up and saw...

"The hell?" I looked around, noticing I was no longer in the barracks. I looked ahead of me and saw two figures, "Instructor Shadis? Mikasa? What are you two doing here?"

"1st, Mikasa Ackerman!" Shadis shouted, not paying any attention to me. The other cadets all stood behind Mikasa and the others in the top 10.

"Instructor? Mikasa?" I said, but didn't receive a response.

Soon hearing a familiar worried voice calling me back from wherever I was, I looked up again and saw nothing in front of me, except rusty old wood.

"Y/n?! Y/n, are you ok?!"

"M- Mikasa?" I followed the shouts of her voice and found her next to me. Her eyes were full of concern. Her voice was shaky at first, but she soon calmed down, realizing I was fine.

"You're ok. I'm glad you're ok." Mikasa heaved a sigh of relief, "What happened?"

"I- I don't know." I stuttered as Mikasa helped me stand up. After she did, I realized that I was on the floor, still where I had collapsed. The training ground had disappeared, as did the other cadets and Shadis.

"You should sleep." Mikasa's eyes reflected with uncertainty, not sure if I was really fine or not. Even if I was, knowing her, she wouldn't believe me unless she made sure of it herself.

"Y- Yeah. I will." Getting on my bed, I sighed and laid down, tired of all the things that had happened in this one night.

"Sleep well, Y/n. Let me know if something ha-"

"Mikasa, can I ask you to do something?" I said, preparing myself for a no.

"What is it, Y/n?" Mikasa turned away from the door and looked at me.

"You don't have to if you don't want to, but, could you... Sleep here with me today?" My face heated up after asking her, but there was no turning back now. Not like I could say it's a joke or something.
