Season One: Chapter 32

MIKASA'S POV
I galled and looked away from him, only to be met with the captain and Eren, "What are you all doing here?"

Rayvon let go of me, slowing down a bit so I had a chance to catch up, "We're getting Y/n back."

My eyes lit up with relief, "W- We are?"

"You're wasting time. Don't be a liability like that blockhead back there." Rayvon pointed at the green-eyed boy behind him.

Eren wore a saddened expression, his usual courage and determination missing from his current demeanor, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten involved... Now Y/n's gone because of me... Again." Tears brimmed his eyes.

I shook my head, "It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself."

Rayvon scoffed and looked away, "It clearly is his fault, maybe if he had done a better job at helping, we wouldn't be in this predicament."

"And where were you?! While I was actually helping him, you sat on your ass doing nothing!" Eren shouted.

"That doesn't matter. You were there and you should've done better." Rayvon sighed and looked ahead, the rest of us doing the same, "Now we take care of that thing."

"The captain's squad is dead. I know they'd help us, but it's too late. I'm sorry, Captain." Eren looked down, Levi's face unwavering.

"Don't worry about it now. We'll deal with that later." Levi said, "So what, is Y/n dead?"

I quickly shook my head and furrowed my brows, "No way! He's alive! I know he is! She's keeping him in her mouth! I didn't see her swallow him!"

Levi's expression changed into a curious one, yet he kept his serious and calm face, "I see, so you're the brat from the courtroom. That explains a lot. That must also be the reason he left that day. He was spending it with you." Within a split second, Levi was in front of the three of us, "We'll go based on your presumption that Y/n's alive. We're taking it down, not out. She's got defenses all of us aren't trained to handle. We'll handle all the cutting, you two will find a way to distract her." Levi glanced up at Rayvon.

"Ready whenever you are." Rayvon gave him one of his small, untrustworthy smiles.

The four of us dashed towards the Female Titan, Rayvon and Levi surrounding her in a pincer attack. Eren and I zoomed around her, trying to get her attention as she covered her nape.

Levi and Rayvon got behind her, the Female Titan slowed her pace and swiftly turned around, attempting to land a hit on Levi and Rayvon. The aforementioned two quickly dodged out of the way and made their way to the legs of the Female, slicing through the flesh of them, making her tumble over, so she leaned against a tree. Levi went for the Titan's arms that were covering it's nape, with Rayvon going for her eyes, blinding her by stabbing his blades through them and leaving them there. The two continued to cut at it over and over again, their figures looking like a quick flash and their blades dancing in coordination. The two of them grappled to the surrounding trees rather than the Female itself which caught Eren and I by surprise.

The two of them aren't attaching to it's body. It makes sense. if they did, any movement from the Female Titan could twist and contort their body. Levi's comprehensive knowledge of fighting Titans for so long and his mobility is helping him a lot, and Rayvon seems to have picked up on that, fast.

My eyes memorized their skills, the two of them basically on par with each other, but the captain definitely had more experience. I looked at the Female Titan's arms, limping to it's sides. It's nape was wide open. Now was my chance. I changed direction towards the nape of the Titan latching onto it's skin as the ODM Gear made a small laceration into her nape.
