ARMIN'S POV
T- There's someone in there! That was one of the two thoughts in my head. The other... Being my death... "Armin!" I heard an indistinct shout at me, but I knew they wouldn't be able to reach me in time.
The Female Titan's foot came crashing down, throwing me off my horse and propelling me towards the rock hard ground, the grass covering my fall slightly, "D- Damn it..." I coughed up, choking on my own breath and not focusing on the pain coursing through me. Feeling the ground shake a bit, I caught a pinkish-red flesh in the corner of my eye.
I- It's her...
I was ready to get crushed, until I felt fingers lifting my hood up, revealing my face to the Titan, "H- Huh?" I looked up to see-
A- A smile? It... It's smiling at me...
Plastered on the Titan's face was a smile. A devilish smile, one of horrors and nightmares. Leaving me with that horrible image in my head, the Female Titan towered over me and gave me one last glance, before leaving out of my sight.
"Armin!" I looked back to see someone, but I was too shocked to realize who it was, "Armin, you ok?"
"Huh? Jean?" I said, recognizing the long face and the spiky, brown-Ish hair, "Wha- What are you doing here?"
"We saw what happened. You ok?" Reiner asked, pulling up beside Jean, pulling the reins of his horse to stop.
"I- I'm fine." I got up and rubbed my head, trying to soothe my minor bruise.
"Here." Jean handed me the extra horse he was holding onto. I nodded and got on, regaining focus back on the Female Titan, "So what is that thing?" Jean asked as the three of us took off full speed at the Titan.
"I thought it was just a normal Titan at first, but it didn't kill any soldiers, it fought them and it let me live..." I said, the vivid memory of the Female Titan's smile still in my head, "But there's someone in there... There has to be! It's intelligent just Y/n and it doesn't eat people, it just kills them and moves on!"
Jean's and Reiner's eyes widened at the revelation. Jean's lips quivered and his breaths quickened, sweat trailed down his face, he seemed terrified, "T- There's no wa-"
"Focus! Both of you! We don't have time to play around!" Reiner determinedly shouted.
I tightened my grip around the reins of the horse and looked forward, furrowing my brows and letting courage take me over. We had to stop that Titan. No matter what the cost, "Right! Let's do it!" I said as the others nodded, "Cover your faces with your cloak! It's looking for someone, so it'll wanna pull out hoods down first!"
Jean and Reiner put their hoods on followed by a sigh from Jean, "Shit... Let's do this..." Jean brought his blade up to his mouth, placing a small kiss to the hilt. I don't know what he's doing, it's a bit weird.
Reiner turned towards us and shouted, "Don't do anything too reckle-"
"Wait! It's going somewhere! It has to be!" I shouted, cutting Reiner off and getting the attention of the two.
"Where?" Jean asked.
"It didn't care about the right wing, it just wiped them all out and it let me live. Based on the direction, it's headed towards someone in the center. But who's in the center?" I quickly thought of as many people as I could that would be in the center rank.
It's the most protected area in the formation. Commander Erwin is there, I know that. Mikasa's somewhere in the left wing relay or recon, so it's not her. Eren is in row 3 and he's number 2 in the recon squad, so it can't be him. Y/n was... Wait... Where was Y/n? Wasn't he in the right wing? That's what it said on my layout of the formation, but there's no way he's there. The right wing is completely gone.
