CONNIE'S POV
Please be ok... All of you...

My eyes darted all around the environment, hoping to catch at least a glimpse of them running away on horses or even on foot. I just wanted to see them safe.

"Where to, Connie?" Reiner asked.

I pointed forward, "It's just beyond these trees."

Reiner nodded, slowing his horse down so as to not attract any Titans that may be lurking around, "It's quiet."

"Yeah, that's a bit strange." Bertolt looked around as did I. It was very quiet. Eerily quiet.

"I guess they're all gone." Reiner said, but I could tell he was still holding his suspicions.

"It's right there!" I shouted. The small village of houses appeared in our eyes. I stopped and looked at it. The homes were all damaged. The shingles of them all almost gone, giant holes on the walls, and debris scattered all over the place. I looked up and the next thing I saw made me freeze. My blood ran cold and shivers traveled down my spine.

"Watch out!" Reiner shouted, getting in front of me.

"It's a... A Titan... On my house..." I said, dejected. My eyes were wide and my breaths felt like they stopped. I couldn't feel anything. All I could do was gawk at the thing in front of me.

"It's body is too big for it's legs, so it can't move." Reiner breathed out, relieved.

I looked at the Titan's features. The blonde hair, the small wrinkles, and those big eyes, "I- It's looks just like..."

"We have to get going. We don't know what happened." Bertolt said, his eyes a bit more open than usual, "I checked the stables. The horses are all still there. They either evacuated before the Titans arrived, or..." Bertolt trailed off, looking down.

"No! They escaped! I know they did! T- They must've heard them coming!" I said hopelessly, not letting the truth of the reality set in.

"We'll come back to this later. We can't be wasting time." A voice spoke. The three of us looked in their direction and saw that two Scouts had followed us, "We were told to come and get you three back to the others. Night is falling on us quickly."

I looked up. The sky had become a lot darker than it was a few hours ago. I heaved a sigh of relief, "At least the Titans will be out for the night."

"W... Welcome... H- H... Home..."

My eyes widened as I slowly turned around. The Titan from earlier was staring at me, a smile on it's face, "M- Mom?"

"Connie!" I heard a deep voice shout, Reiner's hand waved back and forth, obscuring my vision, "Get a hold of yourself!"

"B- But, that Titan..." I trailed off.

"You sound crazy. Just focus on the current situation." Bertolt said, a bit worried.

"Come on. We're leaving." The Scout said, riding off back towards the others.

Reiner and Bertolt nodded, the two pulling the reins of their horses and getting ready to follow the other Scouts. I sighed and followed the others as they left. I thought about the Titan. An uneasy feeling was in my stomach. A feeling I didn't like.

T- That Titan... No... There's no way.

Y/N'S POV
"Do we know where the breach is?" I asked, waiting for Hange to get ready.

"It seems likely that it's south of Wall Rose, but we don't know for sure." Hange tilted the piece of the wall, examining every inch of it, "Fascinating."
