Season One: Chapter 15

MIKASA'S POV
"Choose now! Either he's given a fair trial! Or I kill him here and now!"

"Mikasa... Give them Y/n..." Armin mumbled.

My eyes widened and I looked up at him. He was really planning on giving them Y/n, "Armin..."

"Just do it, Mikasa..." Armin trailed off.

I reluctantly handed the soldiers Y/n, "Don't hurt him." Eren sent the soldiers a sharp glare as they stumbled before taking off.

I slowly reached my arm out, hopelessly trying to grab Y/n, but he was already gone, "No... Don't go..."

Armin apologized, "Sorry, Mikasa... But that was the only way..." His blue orbs glistened with tears and he shamefully looked down.

"I- It's fine, Armin. I know." I reassured him, trying to get him to be his usual self.

"You may come with him if you like. But in no way are you allowed to help or defend him." The soldier informed us.

Eren furiously stepped up towards him, "The hell does that mean?! He's my brother! Of course I'm going to protect him!"

The soldier lifted an eyebrow, questioning Eren's intentions, "Then are you an enemy of humanity too?"

"Like hell if I care! I'd rather be an enemy of humanity than give up on my brother!" Eren firmly stated, making the soldier scoff as he left, "Useless soldiers." Eren spat.

"What now?" I asked.

"We go after them and go to Y/n. He'll definitely be confused. And fair trial or not, they'll want to kill him." Armin informed us as Reiner and Rayvon appeared behind us.

Reiner put his hand on Armin's shoulder and smiled, "You three should get going."

"We'll make up an excuse for you." Rayvon said.

Elias appeared and added onto his statement, "You can count on us!"

Rayvon irritatedly sighed and dragged Elias with him back to the others, "Let's get going, you nuisance."

"Thanks." Armin smiled and nodded as Eren did the same.

"No problem. Now go." Reiner said.

We nodded and went after Y/n. Going past houses and other things, the powerful wind hit my face as I went ahead of Eren and Armin. The coldness of the air made me shiver a bit but I didn't mind. I had to get to Y/n.

I can't let anything happen to you! Not this time! I'll keep you safe!

"Mikasa! Slow down!" Armin shouted as I looked back at him, slowing my pace down.

I nodded and waited for the two to catch up, "Sorry."

We made it into the inner area of Trost and stood atop the wall, trying to calm down from the long distance that we travelled.

My breath heaved and my hands trembled. I soon calmed down as Armin pointed at something, "Look! It's Y/n!"

Eren and I quickly looked down, seeing Y/n against a wall... Surrounded by soldiers, "Damn it. What are they planning? What happened to the trial?" Eren asked.

I ignored him and used my Odm to descend the wall, making my way to Y/n. My feet hit the ground as I swiftly pulled my blades out, ready to protect him, "You won't hurt him."

"She's right." Eren said as he and Armin had followed me.

"The hell? Who do you think you are!?" What looked like the leader of the squad looked surprised before going back to his angered expression, "He is an enemy of humanity! No Titan is on our side! He must be killed!" A man shouted. I tightened my grip around my blades and furrowed my brows, preparing myself for anything.
