Sana's pov

My eyes slowly open, greeting the sun that shone upon my face. I groan, shoving my face back down on the pillow.

It's been a rough night. For me, and for Remus as well.

After finding out that we were not having a baby, the atmosphere changed a little bit. The idea was new, and it was complicated too.

But we both agreed that some part of us might have wanted it to be true. It would be nice to have some good news in this swarm of bad news.

This does mean I won't have to worry about putting a child's life at risk. If we were to actually have a baby, I'd really love it if times were calmer.

I still haven't seen Sirius.

Mum said he spent the night at his girlfriend, Valerie's house. Apparently they've been going steady.

Good for him. It was about time Sirius found someone to call his own. He would always complain about staying inside, and since Valerie lives right next door, he can easily sneak in without being spotted.

That's what he says at least, but I reckon he just doesn't want to admit that he's gotten lonely. And no one blames him for that, if I was alone for 12 years I would be lonely too.

I don't know how he did it.

I pull the covers up and shuffle closer to Remus. He smiles lazily, welcoming me into his embrace.

"Goodmorning." He says huskily, his morning voice spawning clusters of butterflies in my stomach.

I grin, kiss his chest lightly. "I didn't mean to wake you. It's so cold." I complain as I cling my arms around his waist, moving closer.

"That's because you didn't shut the window last night." He nods his head at the window. I curse under my breath. "I forgot, you were already asleep and I didn't want to make too much noise."

"That's what wands are for love."

I nudge him in the arm, roll my eyes and laugh. He chuckles softly, the sound of his laughter infiltrating my body with vibrations so delicate and soft.

The room slowly loses its sound, goes back to its original state. Quiet. No noise except the sound of his heartbeat under my head.

He rests his head on my head, tracing his soft fingertips along my bare back, awaking bittersweet memories which would be better left untouched, as holding on to the past will not move us any forward.

I sigh, pulling his face down and planting a soft kiss on his lip. I pull the covers off my body, sit up straight and stretch a bit.

When I turn around, Remus is staring at my back, I grin. "What's wrong?" He says nothing, just stands up , hovers in front of me.

His presence is truly intimidating, yet so sweet. Somehow, I can't read the look on his eyes, or the look on his face as he keeps it neutral.

He leans in, lips grazing mine in a swift motion, but he adjusts himself so we're awfully close, but not touching.

"What're you doing?" I let out, my words tumbling out my mouth like air, breathy. He says nothing in response.

He smiles. I raise my eyebrow.

"I was just messing with you love, but look at you." He looks at me up and down. "Have I made you skittish?"

I gasp. "You little-"
