Jisung was released from the hospital and everyone was back to school.

What fun.

Things were definitely different. Lino completely shut everyone off, scared of breaking down in front of anyone. His friends had noticed that he was Lino but had no idea when he had changed, and it's not like Lino would talk to any of them to answer their question.

When he was walking to his locker, someone grabbed him by the neck of his hoodie and pulled him backwards, making him stumble and catch himself on the lockers.

He looked up, his surprise clearly shown on his face for a split moment before he covered it up with his normal, blank expression again.

"What are you doing?" Seungmin snapped, almost angrily. He was very frustrated like his other friends as Lino would barely talk to them. Lino felt bad for worrying them like that but he believed that breaking down in front of them would just make matters even worse.

"I'm trying to get to class, that's what I'm doing" he hissed, pushing him away and walking off, but Seungmin had other plans. He pulled him back once again, Lino's back begging for mercy by now.

"That's not what I meant, idiot. Why are you suddenly completely ignoring us?"

"It's not like I talked much before" he muttered under his breath.

"What?"

Lino sighed, crossing his arms across his chest and sending a glare towards the boy in front of him.

"I just want to be alone, can I not do that?"

"Why though?"

The bell cut them off, making Lino curse under his breath and rush past Seungmin hoping he wouldn't get detention for being late to class.

But he did. And now he hates Seungmin even more.

Not to get it wrong, he understands that he has good intentions. His way of showing it is just very... different from everyone else. His behaviour has always been off, thanks to his mentally abusive upbringing.

Anyways, back to the story.

At the the end of the day, Lino dragged his tired ass to detention where he would probably just end up sleeping while pretending he's reading a book. But as soon as he opened the door, his eyes widened once he saw who was inside.

Y/n.

"What are you doing here?" he asked puzzled, completely forgetting the fact that the teacher was at the front of the classroom.

"Lee Minho, you better be quiet or else your time here will be increased to double."

"Can you even do that?" he muttered to himself as he sat down two seats away from Y/n. He never would have thought that his voice would reach the teacher's ears, but it's like she had magical hearing, because at the next moment she was yelling again.

"I warned you to be quiet. Last warning."

Lino sighed before aggressively grabbing his backpack and putting it down on the table in front of him much louder than necessary.

When the teacher looked up again and send a glare in his direction, he just smiled innocently and opened his bag, taking out a book and staring at it as if it was the winning ticket to the lottery.

He went on to pretend reading the book when he realised that Y/n didn't answer his question as to why she was here.

He pulled out some paper, completely forgetting the fact that he was meant to not be talking to anyone, and scribbling down the question he wanted the answer to, quickly shoving it over to Y/n before the teacher would notice.
