After collecting the last fragment of the light forged naaru. The things voice kept her up at night when she wasn't dealing with Azariah. Azariah was two years old now, she had gotten so big. Her first steps, thank Elune, happened as Illidan and Kai ate dinner. She was crawling on the floor and she just leaned on the bed and started to walk. Illidan as so proud of his daughter.
The next major thing was Azariah using her wings, it wasn't flying exactly but she finally demonstrated how to used her wings. Azariah flexed her wings and then she let them relax, she kept doing that over and over again. Illidan and Kai watched amazed as she learnt how to use her wings. Illidan after that scooped her into his arms and gave her a big kiss.
Her first words were a different ironic occasion, it was the word 'Demon'. Not momma or daddy, Azariah said demon. Kai just came back from killing demons and collecting some sort of stone from their bodies. Illidan had came back up to the ship as Kai ventured further from the Vindicaar, not because he wanted to but because he had to. Kai was so tired that she just collapsed onto bed, Illidan had come in from the other room giddy like a child. He forced her up and into the room, he urged Az to repeat the words and she said 'Demon'. Kai was pleasantly shocked that she had even said demon but she found it funny. Illidan would have killed someone for calling him a demon yet here he was happy that his daughters first words was demon.
...
"Velen i have the last part of the naaru." Kai said handing him the broken fragment and Velen smiled.
"Then let us begin." Velen said laying the last piece where it belonged and starting to chant, the naaru started to glow a bright yellow and Kai said Illidan and Azariah 'walking' up the stairs. Azariah sat down at Illidan's hoofs and Kai smiled at the two of them. It was hard to believe that Azariah was two years old, she has known nothing but Dalaran and Argus.
The light forged into one huge naaru and Kai gasped. It was like old memories flooding her hind as she looked at Xe'ra. "You!" Kai said stepping back and glaring at the creature. "Velen what is the meaning of this?"
"This is the prime Lightforged naaru, her name is Xe'ra." Velen said and Kai fell to the ground clutching her head it felt like it was going to explode.
"Keyleth?" Khadgar asked helping her stand as Xe'ras faint yet distinct voice rang through her head.
"Ah the one who was destined to die, I see you have tied yourself onto Illidan. You were meant to be nothing to him and now he will pay the consequences for your actions." Xe'ra said Turing towards Illidan.
"Xe'ra I beg of you do not hurt my love or my child." Kai begged and Xe'ra seemed to grow brighter.
"For a Nature Spirit you are persistent, but I cannot say I wont hurt him. Illidan is the only way of defeating Sargeras. Your love for him is blinding I'll give you that. ill answer one last question for you if you want." She said and Kai looked at the floating signal.
"Why did you show yourself to me all those centuries ago to tell me to give up on Illidan." Kai asked and it sounded like Xe'ra sighed.
"Because you have held him back over the years, this event was suppose to happen two years ago, not now." Xe'ra said before turning her attention onto the golden paladin.
"Turalyon you have found the chosen one." She said her voice now echoing the room and not Kai's head.
"Kai are you alright, you seemed to be in some sort of Daze." Khadgar said and Kai couldn't find her own voice, she just watched. She grabbed onto his arm and he could see the fear in her eyes.
"Illidan, from Azeroth, the light in your eyes held such promise for your future.
"I sacrificed that birthright long ago." Illidan said in a tone of disgust.
