"Keyleth wake up, it's time for you to wake up." Her mother Shalrin said shaking her away.

"Don't worry I'm awake." Kai said sitting up in her bed and rubbing her bloodshot eyes. "Somebody was cutting flowers, you know I can't sleep because of that."

"Needles in the eye, I remember." Her mom said and Kai sighed.

"I'll be going in a few minutes, just let me dress." Kai said slipping on a dress and grabbing her books. She absolutely hates dresses but her mother had insisted she wear something more lady like. She grabbed her things and quietly made her way to the school.

School was a loose term because it was more like an tutor teaching you things one on one. Kai entered the school grounds and was met with the familiar golden eyes of one Stormrage brother. "Good night Illidan." Kai said with a smile and he chuckled. "What? You know I don't get out much." She said watching him laugh.

"He doesn't mean to laugh at you, rather the circumstances we keep meeting." Malfurion said standing besides his brother.

"Did you not know that I attended this school during the night?" Kai asked and they both shook their heads 'no'. "Well now you know." She said simply and walked away.

"Wait we don't even know your name." Illidan said and Kai turned around a shrugged.

"That's my secret Stormrage." Kai said walking off to where she knew Cadryn would be. She set her belongings down on the floor before joining Cadryn who was drinking tea.

"Hello Kai, I hope you've been well." He said with a smile and Kai nodded.

"I've been practicing some of my earth magic, despite me getting head splitting migraines." Kai said and Cadryn nodded.

"We've tried every druid magic know to man including combinations of the two, we haven't found one that fists you best." Cadryn said with a sigh. "You have this talent but i'm not sure myself how you can use it."

"You're not sure because I'm an abomination between two species that shouldn't be together." Kai said with a sigh. "Everything I touches blooms, then it dies. It's so unusual." Kai said and Cadryn hummed in agreement.

"Well there has never been a child between a tree spirit and a Night Elf before. I'm not sure if you can practice druid magic because your Night Elf blood or because your incapable." Judging by the look on her face he chuckled. "No offense but druid magic is very particular with who it allows to practice."

"I know Cadryn, we've been over this, but i have been getting better with growth spells." Kai held out her hand and a red rose bloomed her hand. It grew in size and then wilted like the life cycle of a rose.

"Well that was good but can you keep the rose alive in full bloom." Cadryn said opening his palm and Kai watched as a tulip bloomed in his hand.

"I haven't been so lucky." Kai said watching as the rose bloomed in her hands, she concentrated her energy and the flower still died.

Cadryn sighed and Kai set her hands in her lap and looked away. "I don't think I'm meant to be a druid like my mother hoped me to be." Kai muttered and Cadryn gave her a sympathetic nod.

"Well your the first and probably the last of your kind. It may take longer for you to master certain skills." Cadryn said and Kai rolled her eyes.

"I really wish that I could just master something. Instead I'm just left to feel when someone trims their flowers and someone steps on grass to hard." Kai snapped feeling the vines around her horns grow longer.

"Kai you have to give it time, trust me it took a hundred years for me to even grasp the concept of a life force in plants." Cadryn said and Kai pulled the vines off of her horns watching then shrivel up and die. "Come on let's practice some more."
