Kai greeted her mother when she returned home. "I'm sorry i'm late I was working at the gardens with a student of mine Tyrande."
"You act like i would know them." Kai said rolling her eyes and going into the kitchen. Kai didn't bother eating but she always made sure he mother had food for when she came home.
"She's a good student, you would probably like each other." Her mom said with a smile, "thank you for making me dinner." Kai nodded and stayed in the kitchen reading with her mother making small talk. "You broke one of my flower pots."
"I'm sorry about that, i wasn't paying attention to where i was walking and i kicked it over." Kai said turning the page and her mother frowned.
"I know i didn't raise a liar." She said with a scowl.
"Nope you raised a abomination." Kai said looking at her mother with the same glare.
"Keyleth!" Her mother snapped and she got up before she had to hear another word.
"I have to get to my classes anyways." Kai said setting her book down. "I'll see you tomorrow evening." She said with a sigh grabbing her bag she had not touched since she returned home.
She slipped her bag over her shoulder and made her way to Darnassus, which would be a lot faster if her mother just bought a Sabercat. They were beautiful animals and weren't afraid of any danger or water like most believed. Her mother enjoyed walking in nature and it didn't hurt Kai so she bit her tongue. She entered into the city from a different path nobody used and headed to the Academy, not many Night Elves were walking around Lor'lathil at ten o'clock in the night. Though she was wrong as she spotted a green haired man walking around with a greenish blue haired girl.
She ducked around the corner moving out of their way but the girl noticed her first. "Mal it's the girl from the woods I told you about, she attacked me."
"She wouldn't not attack unless provoked Tyrande." Malfurion said and Tyrande looked like she was pouting.
"I rooted you to the ground because Illidan was causing me a headache." Kai said not even wanting to remember the pain.
"What do you mean by that?" Tyrande asked approaching her, Kai took a step back.
"Nature Spirits are tied to the land they live on, if Illidan was practicing his magic on the earth she could feel the full effects of it in her soul." Malfurion explained and Tyrande looked horrified.
"You could feel each attack?" Tyrande asked and Kai scoffed.
"I can feel you very footsteps approaching me in the earth. I can feel someone over there tending to their gardens." Kai pointed to her left and then pointed to her right, "someone over there is watering their grass. I can feel everything going on in Darnassus." Kai said waving to them. "I must be off, good night." She said turning around and heading to the Academy.
Cadryn smiled and greeted her at the door, "Good night Keyleth." He said with a smile and Kai rolled her eyes with a smile.
"G'night Cadryn." Kai said sitting down on a bench and serving herself some tea.
"Did you practice anymore?" He asked and Kai nodded.
"I can't get the rose to bloom but I was able to control roots and help a plant survive without it's pot." Kai said with a smile and Cadryn nodded joining her at the table.
"Well you have an affinity for nature." Cadryn said sarcastically.
"Not at all like I'm half Nature Spirit." Kai said with a giggle escaping her lips.
