It had been another five years, five years since Kai last saw Illidan. But ooh when she did she was going to keep true to her promise, she was going shove her staff so far up his ass he could taste it. Over the five years Illidan had managed to work with the Naga, side with the horde, piss of the horde, cause terror in multiple places, and Kai's favorite part- escape to a whole new planet called Draenor, well Outland. Despite not wanting to work with the woman who's dedicated her entire life to capturing and killing Illidan, Kai was working with Maiev. Maiev had resources and people that Kai didn't have, where she could go Kai couldn't. Outlands was the most barren place to every stay at, there wasn't a plant in sight instead just dirt and sand and oh that's right more sand.

The caravans went from Hellfire to Shattrath and then they went to Shadowmoon valley. Kai could feel the dead life force radiating off of the earth. They stepped into the land and she nearly collapsed. Nix, who also accompanied Maiev and a few other wardens, had to help her to a horse. Merlin and Felysae chirped worriedly and she rested her head on the horse.

"Because Shadowmoon was so full of life i can feel all of that life energy dead." Kai muttered hoping Nix and Maiev would understand. "I don't want to stay here for long."

"Were not planning on, get to Black Temple, help Akama and his people take back their temple, imprison Illidan and get out of here." Maiev said and Nix nodded. "We aren't alone though, we have warriors of every class here to help us win."

Kai looked around and saw the priests and druids talking with the rouges picking unsuspecting wardens pockets. "Yes quite the bunch we have here Maiev." Kai said bitterly watching a Druid show off his animal forms to a mage. "I don't know how they are going to fare against Illidan seeing as he's killed demons for less than a glare."

"They fight quite well together, everything will be fine Keyleth. Believe you'll get Illidan back in the name of Elune." Nix said with a soft smile and a pat to Kai's shoulder.

"Yes, you'll get him back." Maiev said turning around and directing the troops to the Black Temple where Illidan and his Illidari laid in wait.

Within the week they found the Black Temple, it was overrun by the nastiest looking demons and Kai helped the wreck of a team stay alive. Kai had found that over 15,000 plus years that she could control not only nature but magic. She could heal her team and kill the demons with life draining roots, after so many years of practice that did come in handy.

They finally got to the top of the temple. With Akama and the few people he had left, the Wardens, and the group of people they started to fight Illidan. Kai for the most part stayed out of the fight, she cast heals on the sidelines watching as Maiev did the same thing. Most of the hero's were almost dead and Illidan was still fighting valiantly. Though when Maiev and Nix charged into battle things changed.

Illidan started to grow weaker and his attacks became more desperate. "This is for Naisha!" Maiev screamed slashing her blades down and Kai gasped.

"Maiev this is not the deal we made!" Kai said rushing to aid Illidan only to be held back by Nix. "We had a deal!"

"Deal or no deal, I'm going to inflict the same amount of pain on his soul as he has done to me for the past 10,000 years." Maiev said plunging her blade into his chest. Kai must of screamed quite loudly because Nix released her hold on her for a split second. Kai pushed the Warden away from her and ran to Illidan who was looking up to the sky.

"The huntress is not a hunter without the hunt." Illidan gasped out as Kai took his large hand into hers. "Death is a good thing, i'll be with you one day Kai. I'm sorry i couldn't keep my promise." Illidan said his hand going stiff in hers and she screamed.

Tears were pouring down her face as nature was forced to obey her wishes. Vines and roots ensnared everybody around her. "We. Had. A. Deal." Kai kissed pronouncing each word. She could feel the vines in her hair turn sharp and wrap around her horns. She had snapped.

"My justice was more important than your school girl crush on a demon." Maiev spat and Kai laughed bitterly.

"Illidan was my friend and yes i loved him." Kai hissed glaring at the Warden, "and you took him from me!" She said her voice coming out as more of a wail as she beat Maiev with her staff.

Maiev cut through the roots eventually and knocked Kai down besides Illidan's corpse. "Do not mess with me little elf." Maiev hissed rubbing her face where Kai hit her. "Wardens take Illidan's body and capture his little Illidari."

"What are you going to do with his body!" Kai asked sitting up and watching Maiev leave.

"I'm going to make his afterlife as horrible as he's made my life." Maiev said and Kai held her hands to her face. What was she going to do. She used her staff to carry herself down the steps and to the front of the temple. She saw Frost waiting for her outside the Temple and he roared. She had finally saved up and gotten a Sabercat, she was happy to see him considering the caravan left without her.

"Frost, come here." Kai asked and Frost happily ran to here sensing her mood his mood changed as well, one of more concern and worry. "Take me to Shattrath, i need to get home." Kai said simply mounting the Saber and letting him take her home. Merlin and Felysae perched on her horns at one point and Kai pulled out Illidan's blindfold and held itoto her nose.

Even after all those years it smelt like him, he must have enchanted the smell into the blindfold but Kai kept it around her neck. Whenever things got dirty or messy she pulled it over her face as protection. She inhaled the all too familiar Fel and wood scent and tears fell from her eyes. She couldn't believe that he was dead, all the Fel left his body and he was left with a pale purple color to his skin. Kai watched it happen and she was powerless to stop it.

Frost approached Shattrath and she took the portal home to Darnassus. Frost took her to where Malfurion and Tyrande was and it was like they knew she was coming. "Did you capture my brother?" Malfurion asked and Tyrande held her husband's hand.

"Maiev had her own plans, she killed him." Kai said shuttering, "she took his body and is torturing his soul now."

"It's what he deserves.' Tyrande said and Kai rooted her to the earth.

"You of all people do not get to tell me of what he deserves!" Kai snapped and Tyrande struggled and Malfurion looked to Kai worriedly. "He did nothing but love you with all of his heart, yet you chose Malfurion here and left him broken. You clearly only used his love for you to manipulate him into your own pawn!" Kai snapped unrooting her and letting her fall onto her ass.

"Keyleth you cannot just do that!" Malfurion snapped and Kai laughed bitterly.

"Oops I'm sorry I'm going through grief, but i guess you wouldn't understand since you never considered Illidan your brother since he drank from the skull of Gul'dan." Kai didn't even care if she was making a fool of herself.

"Go home Keyleth, get some rest. I'll have a guard come by to check on you in the morning." Malfurion said helping Tyrande up like she was some broken doll.

Kai scoffed and took Frost back to the house she had boughten. She unharnessed Frost and Merlin and Fel chirped worriedly. It felt her heart was in a million pieces and melting though her body like acid. She grabbed a vase and threw it against the wall knocking over a picture in the process. Kai screamed and nature surged in response to her pain. Kai fell to the floor with a broken heart, so much pain over a man who didn't even love her the same way she loved him.
