She paced around the empty room with a million thoughts racing around her head. She had been talking to both of her grandparents for while now with consultation with her aunt who told her it was impossible. She even consulted Velen, again she heard the words 'no it's impossible'. If she had to hear those words one more time she was going to snap. The door opened and in walked Malfurion, she had talked to her grandfather who forced him out of the Emerald Dream.
"Azariah? To what do I owe the pleasure?" He said rubbing his eyes and Azariah handed him her notebook.
"I've come up with a plan to bring my father and mother back." She said simply starting to explain her plans. Malfurion listened intently and but once she got to the part about using the Vindicaar to fly back into the Great Beyond he shook his head.
"As you know just as well as I do that it's impossible to get them back. Using the Vindicaar is a long shot but getting to the Great Beyond where Sargeras is imprisoned by your parents, that's dangerous!" He said standing up and Azariah felt the flowers around her horns bloom like crazy.
"It is not impossible!" Azariah snapped glaring at her uncle and slamming her book shut. "All of my family are a bunch of cowards! I thought you of all people would be willing to help me!" Azariah shouted glaring at her uncle. "Your my father's family, the only one able to get him back along with my mother!"
"Do not use my love for my brother as a way to manipulate me into helping you! Don't you see how dangerous this is, it can kill you for Elune's sake!" Malfurion snapped back and Azariah took a deep breath.
"No offense uncle, but go to Hel." She snapped taking her book and storming out of the building they agreed to meet in. She took Bucky off of his harness and Malfurion was already out of the building trying to apologize.
"Azariah wait!" Malfurion said with a pleading voice and Azariah turned back to him with a glare.
"Try talking to Khadgar, with him being the guardian be may be able to help you." Malfurion said and Azariah sighed.
"He said no, Cenarius said no, Allari and Saria both said no. I'm alone in this uncle, i have nobody to help me." Azariah said and he sighed.
"I'll talk to my master, talk to Velen again and Khadgar, get them onto the Vindicaar without them knowing and hope to Elune you can pilot that thing." Malfurion said and she nodded.
"Don't worry about me uncle Mal, I'm 18, here in Stormwind I'm considered an adult." Azariah said and Malfurion rolled his eyes.
"Az, I'm ten thousand plus years old, you don't even have half the life i had." Malfurion said and Azariah threw her leg over Bucky. "Be safe!" He called out and Azariah nudged Bucky forward and into the sky's.
"Take me to the mages tower." Azariah said gently caressing Bucky's feathers as he very dangerously landed in the mages tower. "Careful!" Azariah giggled out as Bucky crashed into a portal almost throwing the two of them into Northrend. A few mages jumped out of the way and yelled at her for bringing a hippogriff into the portal room. Bucky walked her to the portal for Dalaran and together they walked through.
Azariah subconsciously held onto her flower crown as she went through the portal and she let go once she was in Dalaran. She went to the tower and Bucky flew her all the way up to the lounge room the mages had. Khadgar was practicing some magic as Bucky landed on the terrace overlooking the portal.
Khadgar turned to her with a spell casted around his hand and she raised her hands, "don't shoot it's just me!" She said quickly and Khadgar audiobly sighed. "Sorry i should have sent Pixie before hand to deliver a letter." Azariah said getting off of Bucky who got a whole apple for himself.
"Sorry Az, i've been a little wound up lately." Khadgar apologized and they hugged.
"Ah it's nice to see you Khad, I wanted to ask you of a favor?" Azariah said and Khadgar gave her a confused look. "Well i was wondering if you could teleport us to the Vindicaar and if you could accompany me."
"Where are we going?" Khadgar asked and Azariah hummed.
"Well that's the tricky part, we aren't going anywhere yet, but once i get the okay we're going." Azariah said and Khadgar sighed already knowing what she was planning.
"We've been over this Azariah. You cannot rescue your parents, their stuck in the pantheon." Khadgar said tiredly sitting on the couch and Azariah gave him a worried look.
"You say potato i say potato. What has you so stressed Gramps?" Azariah said and he sighed.
"Things are out of control in the warfront. As you know Sylvanas Windrunner is the new Warchief of the horde, she has no plan of action other to destroy anything vital to the Alliance." Khadgar cursed under his breath and Azariah chuckled.
"Well I'm sure the king will counter her attacks with his own. The boy king is quite witty like that." Azariah said with a smile and Khadgar laughed.
"It looks like someone has a crush on the boy king." Khadgar said and Azariah blushed and stuttered.
"Gramps!" Was all she could manage out before they both burst into giggles. "In all seriousness I haven't done much for the king, after mom passed he sent his condolences and that was it." Azariah said glancing away and Khadgar rubbed her back.
"Come on, let's take you to the Vindicaar and you can speak to Velen, I'm sure he's going to tell you the same thing I've told you." Khadgar said motioning some sort of magic rune and then portal opened up. Azariah passed through the portal with Khadgar behind her. She looked around the ship and sighed.
"The memories get me everytime." Azariah mumbled looking around for Velen. Khadgar rested and hand on her shoulder and gave her a comforting squeeze letting her know it would be alright.
She finally spotted the wrinkled Draenei at the top talking to some light forged draenei. She waved at him and climbed the spiraling ramp to the top. "Velen! Long time no see how have you been prophet?" Azariah said giving him a sarcastic bow and he rolled his eyes.
"No Azariah you cannot use the Vindicaar to retrace your parents. Unless you have a permanent way to kill a Titan then you aren't going." Velen said and Azariah shrugged.
"Can't blame a girl for trying. Anywho you suggested that I need a way to kill a Titan and I've been consulting a few friends and such." Azariah opened up her Lily encreasted. notebook and handed a loose page to Velen.
"That's my suggestion, a working theory." Azariah said presenting him with the piece of paper.
"Allari is going to develop a soul prison strong enough to cage the soul of Sargeras?" Velen asked and Azariah nodded.
"I found one of her prisons she developed for my mom, aunt Allari can capture demon souls so why not the soul of a titan." Azariah said and Velen looked to Khadgar who looked equally as perplexed.
"How would you power this?" Velen asked finding the words to speak again.
"Well that's where my grandfather comes in, with his blessing and some help from my uncle I should be able to power it with my moms necklace." Azariah said pulling the golden chain from her neck and showing it to Velen.
"Az this outrageous, even if you get this prison to work you would still have to kill Sargeras himself to trap his soul." Khadgar said pulling her hand so that she turned and faced him.
"I know enough of my father to know he's made Sargeras's life hell, with the Titans at their full power I'm sure they could weaken him enough for my parents to kill him." Azariah snapped pulling her hands away from his. "Do you not realize that this is the only chance of me saving my parents, thirteen years without them is long enough!" Azariah said glaring at both of the men.
Velen gave Khadgar a look of 'what do i do' and Khadgar sighed. "Fine, ill help you." Khadgar said submitting and Azariah hugged him tightly.
"Thank you so much gramps!" Azariah said squeezing him. Velen gave her a simple nod which she returned and Azariah smiled. Maybe she would get her parents back after all.
