Chapter 7: The Skull Of Gul'dan-

Nix had kept her word, Merlin had delivered the letters but Kai had to find another messenger bird when he came home with a hole in his wing. Felysae was a black and blue owl and Merlin and her got along great. Merlin taught her who to recognize as a friend and who to scratch and peck at, that someone being Tyrande. Fel returned to Stormwind with a letter in her claws and Kai opened the bow wrapped around it.

Dear Keyleth-

I regret to inform you that Illidan is no longer in our prison. Tyrande came to Hyjal and released him saying its what Malfurion wanted. He's raging around Felwood looking for something. He's going up against demons and evil things out there. If you could get to Felwood to help Malfurion and Tyrande I'm sure they would appreciate it.

Kai crumbled the letter with her hands and whistled for both Merlin and Felysae to perch on her horns. They chriped in confusion and Kai made her way to the ships. She paid the captain in gold and using magic she was in Ratchet. She went to the flight master and payed the last of her gold to go to Felwood.

Merlin and Felysae flew next to her on the griffon as she urged the giant beast to move faster. Once she landed a few hours later she was greeted with chaos and pain. She could feel everything around her dying and she steadied herself on the griffon. "Thank you, return home." Kai said patting the beast and it nodded before flying off. Merlin and Felysae buzzing around a stick. They together lifted up a stick and brought the stick to her. It dropped it in front of her and they landed on her horns. She grabbed onto the stick and wildflowers bloomed through the cracks of wood.

Kai fought through the pain and headed to the demon portal where she knew everyone would be. She wished she had a mount but she never had the gold, after this she was getting a Sabercat no matter what. Merlin pecked at her horns and she realized he was untying Illidan's blindfold.

"Mer' what are you doing." Kai asked still moving past the green pools of fel. Merlin dropped the blindfold onto her shoulder and she smiled. "It still smells like him." Kai said pleasently surprised by that. Five thousand years more and it still kept his scent. Merlin obviously did this to help calm her down as she marched towards demons.

Felysae was the the one who left first, Kai understood she was afraid. Kai made sure to set Merlin in a tall tree and him and Felysae perched together. She knew that they would protect each other. Kai used Illidan's blindfold as a face guard as she passed through the smoke. She cast the illusion over her horns so they disappeared and walked further into the mess.

She heard the scream of Malfurion and knew that she was near. Despite the pain surging in her body she ran towards the battle. Malfurion was killing demons as a bird with Tyrande at his side. Illidan was killing demons with his warglaives and just his pure rage.

Kai knelt in the ground and placed her hands in the earth. She felt the agony of the land but she pushed through that to root all demons to the earth.

"Keyleth!" Malfurion yelled through the sound of flesh being sliced open, "welcome to the fight!"

"Glad I could make it!" Kai said retracting the roots of all the demons that were dead.

"The skull is through that portal, if we can push through I can wipe them all out." Illidan said and Kai pushed past the demons and hit them with with her staff.

"What exactly is this skull giving you!" Kai said rooting a demon as Illidan slashed through it with his glaives.

"Power, a clean slate. A way to win Tyrande." of course, Kai grumbled insults under her breath as she hit demons with her staff.
