Two whole months could really change a lot of things. Kai, Illidan and the Illidari had all moved into Fel Hammer which was a very dark and gloomy place compared to Kai's tastes. Though the darkness did remind her of her cave of a home when she was younger. Merlin Fel and Bucky were allowed anywhere on the ship and everybody welcomed the owls and hippogriff. Kai practically made Illidan and her room into a smaller garden.
The flowers he chose did cause nostalgia every time Kai looked at them but it was good. There were an arrange of flowers from the grove which Malfurion informed Kai that they were called Rain Poppies. They were brought there from a far away land and they just happened to thrive there. They bred with other flowers which caused the new colors to form, from red, white, pink, blue, purple, each color was vibrant and living. The other flower that Illidan had asked Malfurion to find was the Purple Lotus flower, the flower Kai had given Illidan so many years ago that now was the centerpiece of her her flower crown.
Kai kept some of the poppies growing in their room along with some ferns she had harvested before. they left, it was a nice array of plants. Not even the demon hunters minded the greenery around the Hammer, Kai figured they preferred it. She had caught a few of them in her garden before checking out the poppies and lilies. They had always lied saying they were just passing through but the only other room connected to the garden was hers and Illidan's.
Kai was tending to her poppies when she heard the familiar sound of hoofbeats, she looked up to see Illidan leaning on the doorway. "Ill' what are you doing?" Kai asked looking at her lover.
"Watching you tend to your flowers, I have a question." Illidan said and Kai set down her tools. "Want to go on a picnic?"
"Illidan being romantic? I never thought I'd see the day." Kai jokingly said getting up and brushing her hands on her dress. "I would love to go on a picnic." Kai said with a smile.
"Good then, clean up and I'll be waiting for you." Illidan said with a smile as he kissed her forehead. She took her tools and put them in the small tool space she had separated for gardening supplies. She went through the back door that led to her room and went to the bathroom. Everything was so modern now, new times and gnomes to develop new technology.
Kai ran herself a warm bath slipped under the water. It felt good against her skin as she gently rubbed the dirt off of her arms and hands. She used some of Illidan's soap and washed her skin.
"Don't you look ravishing." Illidan said with a smile. He closed the door and sat besides her. "Here let me wash you." Illidan said letting his hands trail along her shoulders letting Kai shiver out of pure pleasure.
"I hate it when you tease me." Kai muttered causing Illidan to kiss her lips quite passionately.
"I'm afraid i can't very well fuck you until your mind blowing orgasm when i can see our child developing in your stomach." Illidan said with a smirk and Kai splashed him with some water.
"You have a point, how do they look? Healthy at least?" Kai asked and Illidan rested his hand on her baby belly.
"They seem to be growing bigger everyday, big and strong just like their mother." Illidan said with a smile as he gently stroked Kai's face.
"I'm glad, as long as they are healthy i don't care about the gender." Kai responded getting out of the bathtub and Illidan handed her a towel. She wrapped it around her torso and got out of the tub. Even the simplest things were getting difficult when you have a stomach the size of a small planet. She was only at her second trimester but it was nice to be treated so kindly by Illidan.
He handed her a long black dress that had a mid drift in back. She dried herself off first and then slipped on the dress, she was lucky that the dress hung around her body and didn't really cling to anything. "You ready my love?" Illidan asked extending his hand.
"Of course my love." Kai responded with a giggly smile as she took his hand and leaned on his shoulder. He lead her to the portal room which only they and. A few select Illidari had access to. Illidan lead her to a portal of Stormwind, and she gave him a confused look.
"Stormwind? But why?" Kai asked and he chuckled.
"That would ruin the surprise my love." Illidan said and Kai walked through the portal to find herself at an overlook. Unfortunately for her it was overlooking King Varian's memorial, he was a dear friend. "Were not here to remind you of sad memories but rather this." Illidan picked her up in his arms and jumped into the air. She clung onto him for dear life as he flew quite high over the mountains that surrounded the city. Kai closed her eyes and buried her face into his chest and he chuckled.
"Don't worry your safe with me love." Illidan said kissing her forehead and she could feel him land. She looked around and saw an amazing view of the ocean. Illidan set her on the ground and she turned to see a nice wooden cottage. She gasped at the sight of a row of lilly's leading her up to the door. She turned to Illidan and he nodded with a smile.
"This is ours?" Kai asked beaming with happiness. "I don't even know what to say!" Kai said happily dragging Illidan up the stone path and into the house. It was absolutely stunning, breathtaking, beautiful.
"Are you happy with the interior, i know i don't have your keen eye for plants but i figured i would try to make things greener." Illidan said gesturing to the small houseplants he had picked out. "Everything you see i did myself, i didn't even have the help of Malfurion or my Illidari."
"Is that why you asked me how i took care of my Lillies?" Kai asked with a smile and Illidan nodded.
"Of course, I wouldn't be planting lilies on the battlefield." Illidan retorted kissing her lips tenderly before leading her upstairs to another room. "This is our room." Illidan said allowing the door to swing open and Kai smiled. The room was painted a natural blue color and Illidan moved into the room with open arms.
"Ill' i have no words, this is so extravagant." Kai said feeling tears welled up in her eyes again.
"But this is not even the best part, let me direct your attention to, our baby's room." Illidan said opening up another door that was painted brown. Kai smiled at the fluffy clouds and the hand painted forest that mirrored each wall. "This i do admit i had Saria do, she helped me create a realistic look to everything."
"Illidan i don't even know what to say this is all perfect." Kai said with a smile hugging Illidan. Illidan hugged her back and rested his head in between her horns. "Thank you so much." She whispered out and Illidan chuckled.
"You deserve it my love, after all this time with me as your friend to lover you've never had anything permanent or nice. I decided to give you something permanent and with me as well." Illidan pulled away with a smile and Kai kissed him.
"You have made me the happiest Nature Spirit in life Illidan Stormrage." Kai said looking around the nursery with a fond smile. Her child could live a happy life, and so could they.
