It was dawn of a new day, while the other Illidari prepared for their night hunt on the demons, some of them took this free time to watch the duel. Saria had spread the word that Kai was going to fight Illidan as a way to prove her worth, all of his Illidari were eager to see what a Nature Spirit could do. Kai was up in the morning before anyone else and decided to cook her own meal, she just cooked some meat and made herself a sandwich, something easy. She took her Warblade and made sure to clean both blades until they shined like the night sky. She made sure to fix her armor and all of her flowers and thorns.

She climbed to the arena and saw Illidan sitting there, it wasn't enough sunlight to full illuminate Illidan but the green tattoos illuminated his face. It was quite frightening. Other Illidari illuminated the stands and Illidan stood tall with his wings outstretched. "Are you ready to fight me?" Illidan asked, his voice soft and low.

"I am." Kai said tapping her blades on the ground. Illidan nodded and turned to address the Illidari in the stands.

"As the tradition stands to be considered a true Illidari you all have gone against me. Many of you have fought me and showed me your ready for demons, others have even successfully throw me from the arena. Keyleth Darkmoon are you ready to challenge me?" Illidan said turning back to her and she nodded her head.

"I am." Kai said and she tapped her Warblade on the ground and prepared herself.

Illidan charged at her first, almost so fast she couldn't defend herself. He had become super fast, like he blended into the shadows. She dodged his attacks as best she could even getting in a few slashes here and there. Illidan saw her moves coming though and he quickly evaded her blades. He changed his stances which confused Kai but she took this time to attack.

She broke her Warblade into two and started to attack. Illidan challenged her attacks with her own and it was like a tango with blades. He would try to slice open her skin and she would try the same. It was a tango between them and she quickly learned why he changed stances as she felt the ledge of the Arena with her right foot. She swung upwards and managed to knock Illidan off of his guard. Kai connected her two blades together quickly as she wacked Illidan's lower legs out from under him.

Illidan used his wings to keep himself balanced and swung his glaives back to Kai who wasn't ready to block at all. At least his blades were glowing with fel energy because she felt the pain spike through her body where Illidan slashed her arm open. She kept her Warblade in a staff and used it to keep herself balanced as Illidan completely threw off her form.

"Do you quit?" Illidan asked and Kai pointed her blade at him with a fire in her eyes.

"Not until I draw blood." Kai snapped charging at Illidan. This time she went full attack with no defense needed. She broke her Warblade into two and attacked him from both sides without stopping. He defended himself as best as he could but Kai got the upper hand as she backed him into a corner. She slashed his side open and the Illidari in the stands cheered for her. Kai watched the green blood drip from Illidan's side and he burst into laughter.

"You have proven yourself worthy to be called a Illidari." Illidan said with a nod towards her. He turned to the cards and spread his wings and arms open so they could see the green blood running down his chest. "I am proud to introduce our first non demon Hunter, Keyleth Darkmoon. She will be respected like on of us and known as a Illidari."

The demon Hunters in the stands cheered and Kai held herself up with her staff. Illidan picked up his weapons and looked back to Kai. "Did I push you to hard?" He asked with a smile.

"No but you got my arm pretty good." Kai responded holding her arm and blade. She healed her arm thankfully, Illidan didn't use Fel after all. She walked over to Illidan and gently cupped his side.

"What-" Illidan said and Kai healed up his cut to a pretty purple scar. "Thank you." he said with a genuine smile.

"Your welcome. I may have over strained myself." Kai said rubbing the sweat off of her head. She sighed and Illidan watched all of his Illidari leave the arena. "You know I didn't get you out of the stands."

"Ah but you were close, I'm sure if I allowed you to use your druid power you would have had me out of the ring." Illidan said and Kai nodded with a laugh.

"A fair fight is a fair fight." Kai said with a smile, "it's amazing what I was able to do with just some training."

"Well you were dazzling, you reminded me of the legends of old Night Warriors." Illidan said with a fond smile, his green fel eyes showing fond memories.

"Ah Elunes wrath." Kai said remembering the stories her mother told her. "Well trust me I'm not as dangerous as one Night warrior."

"You still cut me pretty deep, I could see you becoming a night warrior if it didn't go against Elunes caring a loving side." Illidan said and Kai nodded.

"Two sides of the same coin, caring and loving and the reverse would be hatred and wrath." Kai said and Illidan shook his head 'no'.

"Hatred and love, wrath and kindness are the same thing. It depends on how much the world has changed you." Illidan responded closing his eyes as if to reminisce old memories.

"You're still the same Night Elf I met in Val'sharah, although your appearance has changed quite a lot. You're still the same Elf who broke my mother's flower pot." Kai said with a giggle, "although you've grown into a man considering when I met you, you were just a boy."

"Hey I was grown up when you met me!" Illidan said grabbing his glaives and hovering at Kai's side as if to make sure she didn't fall. He offered his hand and she took it with a smile.

"You were pure Illidan, but you were man obsessed with trying to find his purpose." Kai said humming, a habit she realized she had developed over the past few months. "Just like i was a broken girl with no purpose."

"You were a girl trying to find her purpose, which you found soon after i was imprisoned." Illidan said and he gently swung thier hands together. "I couldnt be more proud of the Elf you've become after all of this time."

"And while you dont believe it, I'm proud of you as well Illidan." Kai said with a smile and Illidan nodded with a grin. "Lets get breakfast, ill help you finalize everything thoroughly and help the Illidari gather supplies they need."

"We dont need anything though." Illidan said and Kai rolled her eyes.

"You need potions and bandages, or would you rather a Illidari bleed out because they dont have a simple health potion." Kai said and Illidan rolled his eyes.

"I thought I overthought everything, i was wrong." Illidan sighed and Kai chuckled.

"I'm here to fill in the blanks that you forget to fill in." Kai said with a shrug, "though you are a very meticulous Elf."

"That i am." Illidan said entering the tent and Kai sat down on the couch and rested her Warblade next to his glaives. Kai helped Illidan solidify his already complete plans, he just had to keep going over them. When night fell and his Illidari awaited him outside his tent Kai could see he put on a brave face.

"You do not have to worry Illidan, everything will work out." Kai said grabbing her blade and leaving Merlin and Felysae some seeds for when they were away. "We'll have Elune watching over us."

"You will have Elune watching over you, all i can do is watch my Illidari's back." Illidan said pushing the tent open and approaching the Illidari who were patiently waiting. Kai took her place next to Saria and Allari and watched Illidan.

"Today we will finally wipe out the demon scourge that plagues Azsuna. We stick together, descend from the tree's upon their portal. While we kill everything around we have to destroy the portal, once that's done we wipe them all out." Illidan said confidently, "watch each others backs out there, lets go my Illidari." Illidan raised his Glaive and they all followed him.

"Your going to want to hold on." Allari said and she picked up Kai quickly beating her wings. Saria did the same and all of Illidan's Illidari were flying after him as they stayed above the tree line. "We must be quite, dont worry Keyleth, i do not drop my friends." Allari said and Saria held onto her hands.
