I walked into my dad's room to see he was laying in the bed with his arm in a sling. When he saw me, he struggled with his free arm to pull something out of his wallet.

"Here. Give them my insurance." He told me as I took the card.

"Elroy McGillicutty?" I asked him.

"And his two living sons. So, what else did the Doctor say about Dean?" He asked.

I was about to answer when there was a commotion from the hall.

"Miss you can't be back here." Someone said from the hall.

"Move." I heard Eve say then she walked into the room.

She looked at us then gave me a hug.

"Thank god you're okay." She said to me.

Before she could even let go of me a security guard came into the room.

"I don't know how you got back here but only family is allowed." He told her.

She reached out her hand to him, but Dad caught her arm before she could.

"It's okay she's, my daughter." He told the security guard.

He looked at her fair skin, red hair, and miss matched eyes. We looked nothing alike, but he turned and left the room anyway.

"So, what did the doctor say about Dean?" My dad asked again as he dropped Eve's hand.

"Nothing. Look. The doctors won't do anything, then we'll have to, that's all. I don't know, I'll find some hoodoo priest, and lay some mojo on him." I said.

Eve was looking worried. She did not know about Dean.

"We'll look for someone." Dad said.

"Yeah." I replied.

"But son, I don't know if we're gonna find anyone." Dad told me.

I could not believe what he was saying. He was as bad as the doctors.

"Why not? I found the faith healer before." I said to him.

"You did?" Eve asked me.

"Yeah." I told her and she smiled slightly.

"Right, that was, that was one in a million." He told us.

"So what? Do we just sit here without thumbs up our ass?" I yelled at him.

"No." Eve answered for him.

"I said we'd look. All right? I'll check under every stone." Dad started but then stopped talking.

"Where's the cult?" He asked.

I did not think it was possible to become this angry so fast.

"Your son is dying and you're worried about the cult?" I yelled at him.

"We're hunting this demon, and maybe it's hunting us too. That gun may be our only card." He tried to defend himself.

"I can't believe this." Eve said.

"Why are you even here?" Dad snapped at her.

I did not know what was going on between them, but I did not like it.

"It's in the trunk. They dragged the car to a yard off of I-83." I told him to distract him from Eve.

"All right. You've gotta clean out that trunk before some junk man sees what's inside." He told me.

"I already called Bobby. He's like an hour out, he's gonna tow the Impala back to his place." I told him.

"All right. You, you meet up with Bobby, you get that cult, and you bring it back to me." He said to me.

"And you watch out for hospital security." He told Eve.

"I think we got it covered." I said to him then turned to leave.

"Hey." Dad said stopping me.

"Here. I made a list of things I need, have Bobby pick them up for me." He told me.

I read the list.

"What's this for?" I asked him.

"Protection." He answered but Eve was looking at him weirdly.

"Sam, in my room there's a small vial filled with a white liquid. Bring it to me." She told me.

I nodded then looked back to my dad.

"Hey. The demon, he said he had plans for me, and children like me. Do you have any idea what he meant by this?" I asked him.

"No, I don't." He answered.

I did not want to waste any more time. So I left.
