Skylar's POV
"Good Night sweetie" I kissed her forehead and went to shower for the evening, I took a small hot shower, shampooed my hairs and shaved my legs I usually don't care about shaving my hairs but according to my stepfather we need to be well dressed and well behaved
"Time to dress" I said to myself after blow drying my hairs I am going to keep them natural hairstyles usually gives me headaches, I did a little makeup and wore my dress, it was navy blue chiffon ankle length dress with a sheer lenght sleeves, it had a low cut back but it was beautiful, I heard a knock on my door
"Come in" I said wearing my black block heels
"Oh wow" Kayden smriked "you look hot"
"Stop flirting with me I am your sister" I playfully glared at him
"Trust me, if you were not my sister I would definitely date you" he grinned
"Ohk Asshole" I rolled my eyes
"Whatever sisa lets go" he took my hand and wrapped it around his arm "classic" he smirked and we went downstairs
"It feels weird going without Katie"
"Don't worry she ate her food and is now sleeping and if there will be any problem, someone will call us" he assured me, I love my step brother he's really great at such things like comforting people, loving them and telling them they're worthy of everything "we're going in separate car"
"Why?"
"Dad's friend he's the owner of a magazine company or into publishing, I heard they have branch in every popular cities including Columbus and here in LA too, and dad wants to show off he booked the whole rooftop of a 5 star restaurant" he rolled his eyes
"That's.....I'm speechless"
"Sir..Mam" our chauffeur opened the door for us of a Black BMW M6 my stepfather really loves to show off
"After you my lady" Kayden smiled and helped me to climb inside the car "Peter to the restaurant" he ordered to our driver and the car started "Sky don't freak out there's gonna be a lot of media" I gulped and nodded "don't worry we have bodyguards,well media only wants to capture pictures of our parents and Walkers so relax I also hate it"
"Thank God Katie is not coming with me because my picture with my daughter with a big gossip heading on a newspaper is the last thing I want" I rolled my eyes and looked out of the window for the rest of the drive, LA is really a beautiful city, full of good vibes,I hope settled here someday,after we reached another chauffer opened the door for us, As soon as Kayden and I got out, the flashes and lights blinded us, Richy's bodyguards surrounded us but I started to panic they were all taking our pictures and what not
"Don't Panic" Kayden whispered in my ear and wrapped his arm around my waist after we safely entered the restaurant I took a deep breath in relief
"That was...."
"Ridiculous" He completed me and I nodded,and the waitress took us to the top floor where my mom,Richy and Brian were already seated and I sat beside Kayden and picked my nails the atmosphere is so tensed "they're late" he groaned
"Kayden behave" Richy scolded him "and don't talk about useless things only answer when something is asked same with you Skylar and Brian" I nodded I'm not in a mood of talking at all so its not a difficult job,and I'm sure they're going talk about business stuff
"Dad I'm 29" Brian rolled his eyes
"Still No" he shook her head "Oh he's here" we all stood up as Richy went and hugged Mr. Walker 1 and then he hugged Mr. Walker 2 and Brian shook his hand with Mr. Walker 1 and hugged the other
"He's Handsome" Kayden whispered in my ear
"He is" I checked out the second Mr. Walker, he had perfect Dark blonde hairs, he was 6'2 I guess, his eyes were beautiful shade of grey blue and he was dressed in a perfect navy blue suit with a black tie, damn it he should be a model or something, I didn't noticed that Richy was introducing us I lost in him
"And this my daughter Skylar" he wrapped his arm around my shoulder
"Hello Nice to meet you both" I smiled at them
"Hello Skylar its a pleasure to meet you're looking very gorgeous today, you're like what I imagined" Mr. Walker 1 complimented me while his son just smiled and nodded, After we settled down the waiter took our orders and was back in few minutes, he poured us some white wine to everyone but juices for me and Kay, like he seriously thinks we don't drink or he want to proof something to Walkers and as I thought the mens started their business talks and whatever that was
"Ahh my Skylar is a brilliant Writer and she's known in her university for writing unique essays and short stories for school magazines" Richy proudly told about me but I am not that great
"Is it true Skylar?" Mr. Walker 1 asked me
"Yes Mr. Walker, I haven't written in a while but I do love writing and editing" I smiled at him
"Well as much as I know you live at Columbus right?"
"Yes sir"
"I have an offer for you I need a Editor for My Columbus Franchise and I find you a fit for it, its under my Son's control for now but I would love if you join us"
"Yes sir I would love too" I grinned, did I just get an offer for a job as an editor like wow, I am sure he's gonna pay me a lot, I can finally be stable and grow up
"Great Contact me when you're back to Columbus we're starting next week and you can discuss everything with my son"
"Yes Father don't worry I'll take care" he nooded and fake smiled at me,I think he already hates me

"I got the Job" I shouted in my stepfather's screat bar at his house
''Shhh quite dad doesn't know that I drink here" he continued his whiskey
"Oh yaa sorry" I took a sip from my large beer mug "but I got the Job, I'm gonna be rich enough to fulfill our needs"
"Oh yeah" he rolled his eyes
"Shut up, your rich ass doesn't know the struggle of raising a daughter without any support from biological parents, I get hatred on every step, people judge me without even thinking its difficult Kay and hiding her from my uni people is more difficult" I gulped the whole beer down my throat
"Yaa I'm sorry but still if I find Justin, I would tie him naked and whip him until he's dead or better I would whip him everyday and heal him everyday or I would kidnap him and stab him,directly in his heart" he said in a serious tone, I know he's drunk but its not a bad idea
"Ohk shut the thoughts off, I'm going to sleep I already have a lot" I burped "Good night bro" I walked off
"Good night sisa" he shouted
