After the meeting was over the whole staff was relieved and dispersed into their departments, I wanted Sky to stay so we can discuss about the meeting with dad and then meeting with Ms. Brown, but honestly I didn't had any guts to say "Ms. Watson I want you to stay so we can discuss further" I am such a coward
I walked back to my office and replied to some very important mails,specifically the mails lily can't handle then checked on dad's flight he'll be here till 8 PM, though he owns a Jet he likes travelling in a normal plane in an economy class Dad is just dad
Its already 4.30 and half of my staff is gone, interns are nowhere around, Sky will also leave by 5 I should talk to her before she leaves, Just before I could grab my phone to call her someone knocked on my door and I maintained my posture "Come in" I shouted
"Good Evening Mr. Walker" Lily greeted
"Good Evening Lily
Anything important ?" I leaned back on chair
"Nothing sir, I was just going to leave I am here to ask If I have any other tasks before leaving"
"Uhh yeah tell Skylar I need her in my office immediately" I said in a sharp tone, so sharp that it can slit my own throat
"I am afraid, she left, her daughter is not well that's why she left early, she informed Jane and Me"
"She didn't bothered to inform me" I kinda shouted, I have to maintain my bossy nature in here doesn't matter how much a douchebag I'm in real, I never mix my professional life with my personal one but loving Skylar is testing me in both of my roles in life "Lily speak up" I ordered after she was quite for a long time
"Uhh Sir its our rule that if we want leave early, we have to give an application to the head of the department because you don't keep a count on everyone" she bit her lip

I closed my eyes and shook my head in disbelief, Forget what I said
"Why she left ?"
"Sir actually her daughter is ill that's why"
"FUCKKK" I shouted and Lily's eyes widened, I have successfully failed twice in order keep my self respect "sorry for that, I just...Katie is like my daughter I panicked" I said "Thank you Lily" I nodded "you may leave, Have a nice day"
"You too have a nice day" She greeted with a smile then left, I know she's rolling her eyes and thinking what a weirdo I am and I don't care
I grabbed my things and my car keys then locked my office, I was quick enough to greet people Good Evening in the hallways on my way down to the basement, I climbed in my car and drove towards Her house
In between there is a flower shop I could pick up some purple lilies for Sky and maybe cookies for Katie, she loves chocolate cookies that too baked from a specific bakery luckily near the Flower shop, Skylar once told me when Katie was just 11 months, Sky took her for walk in her stroller and Katie started crying she tried a lot to calm her down then she just gave up and got some chocolate cookies for her, Katie snatched one from her mommy and half played half ate it, Sky also told that it became a thing from that day and Katie loves it till date
I parked in front of the flower shop then walked in, I was soon invited with the odor of various flowers..roses, lilies, daisies, orchids etc. And my blue grey met with different shades of beautiful flowers there were various shades of roses, apart from daisies which are my favorite, I like red roses blue and white ones, pink is fine and In lilies purple and pink have to be my favorite
"Hello sir How may I help you ?" A middle aged asian women greeted me
"Hello mam, Can I get the finest of your purple lilies" I smiled at her
"Yeah just wait at reception" She nodded and I smiled, I walked towards the reception behind the counter was teenage girl around 16 or 17 she smiled at me
